The previous chapter showed Alessandro’s humanity, this chapter showed Sam discovering Desmond’s. Sam will remember Alessandro, the humanity he showed him during the inhumanity he called a childhood; When Sam sees who’s in the black car he may wind up being the one to save Alessandro’s life. Will there be middle ground for Desmond and Alessandro to meet and can that middle ground find a way to neutralize/eliminate Julian?

Interesting turn.

What a miserable, old sod Harry is. Karma’s a bitch and she’s a woman so when Harry gets fucked by her, he won’t even enjoy it. Good. I like the friendship that developed between Andy and Will and Terry proved himself to be a true friend. Will has blossomed like a beautiful flower, well fertilized from the shit Oskar put him through (that does make the best fertilizer, lol). He truly came into his own and is a confident, caring and conscientious man. He recognizes the temptation his fame could lead him down and rises above it to be his nobler self, truly worthy of a prince’s consort. 😉 Given the title of the story, I don’t think we’ve heard the last of Oskar, whether he and Will get a HEA, they have both made an indelible impression on the other.

That pretty bird’s wing is healing with love and acceptance; There’s no telling how high and far he will fly now that his nest is coming back together.

“He started to unwrap the food and smiled tentatively at Caleb. "You waited for me?" Caleb nodded. He looked over at Wren. "You're worth waiting on," Caleb said, and he took a breath. "Yeah. I'll wait." Yeah, Caleb himself doesn’t realize how long he’s been waiting on Wren; With this new understanding between them, Caleb ain’t going nowhere.

Good chapter. Everyone who needs to know everything knows and Wren and Caleb are finally on the same page. I’m looking forward to their courtship. Did Wren’s uncles do something to his daddy? That thought came to me when Wren was speaking to Ms. Rachel and it hasn’t left. Those boys (because I refuse to call them men) seem to have been cut from a different cloth than Adam and Beecher and greed and jealousy are common motives for murder. Though I think it might have been an accident, I think they are responsible for Adam’s disappearance. Now THAT is something that would need to go in the sheriff’s books.

I wonder why Will went through with it if he knew.

Is Will talking to Terry?

I’m rereading this from the beginning because I saw a new chapter updated today (yay!) and I’m wondering: Ian knew his brother in law’s name was Adam and even said he met him a couple of times, how come neither recognized the other when they met up again and why didn’t the flutters happen before?

Good luck on your interview!! 🍀

You’re welcome and it is improving, thanks. ☺️

The beam of sun I needed today. Nicely done. Thank you.

So heartbreaking. 💔 Unless you are born a psychopath, most “cold” people walking around are the ones who feel things the deepest.

Oskar is a true puzzle. I don’t like that he has prepped Will like a lamb to slaughter under false pretenses (the “vitamin b”/steroid shots really pissed me off), yet there are genuine feelings Oskar has for Will. If there are pretty boys clamoring for this type of a role, why deceive a bookish scholar into it? I am intrigued how this will end but Oskar is no hero for now. Will will be devastated at the birth of “Jason Williams”.

“Will reflected momentarily on what he had recently told his Year 10 GCSE group, that princes were dangerous because their morality was not that of the common man.” 🤔 😶 What does Oskar really want from Will? Is it more than the movie?

Terry’s warning has stayed with me, even if Will has pushed it to the back of his mind; Obviously there is credence to it as we know Oskar is recruiting Will to star in a porno with him. I wonder tho, could he be changing his mind? Would he approach Will with the offer or drug/blackmail him into it? It is clear Oskar has feelings for Will-would he bring a “mark” to meet his family or is that how far he is willing to go to achieve his goals? He is also more respectful about Will’s sexual health than Will himself, would that matter if he didn’t care? Two passages stuck with me in this chapter: “Oskar looked at him sadly. ‘But I am. My kind of people aren’t safe. You know enough of my story to realise that deep down I am just a selfish fuck. Still, for what it’s worth – which isn’t saying much – you have this whore’s heart.’ ‘Then that’s enough for me.’ ‘It won’t be one day, my love.’ “ “My brother is an idiot, but there’s nothing wrong with his heart.’ Neither she nor Will saw the sudden dead look that came over Oskar’s face.” Is Oskar at war with himself over this? I hope love for Will can keep his behavior honorable but I feel Will will be using Terry’s card before long.

I prefer “intimate friends” to “monogamous fuckbuddies” myself, lol. It’ll be interesting to see if Caleb will bottom. That house can’t be built fast enough for more privacy, maybe there should be some soundproofing done in certain rooms, too. There is so much to do owning so much property and livestock and the guys won’t know what’s messed with or not until they need to tend to a specific task. It rankles when underhanded methods are used to get something instead of playing fair and square but even evil isn’t stupid-it was a hoot and holler how that car backed up with a quickness upon sight of that shotgun!! 😂 I shudder to think how much more underhanded those greedy Gus’ can get but I guess we’ll find out soon enough.

I agree, 1,000%. Also of course because the author said it, it’s absolutely true. 😬

I'm good." His voice wavered, and he cleared it. "I'm real good." I bet, lol. This was more like it, a more involved interaction on both parts without guilt or blame. No matter what happens now, Caleb will always remember his first time. It’s heartbreaking that Wren believes he’s the reason his father left but not altogether surprising; It’s amazing how much responsibility children take on for the status of their family’s dynamic, not understanding most all fuckups are strictly on the grown ups. I too, tend to be a bit concerned about Wren and Caleb being spied on by the uncles, I feel as though they underestimate them, even knowing they are capable of nefarious actions. “I'm sure this means nothing but smooth sailing from here on!” 🤨 Okay, Wayne....

Good God is it....🔥🔥

I get Caleb’s confusion with coming to terms with his sexuality but it isn’t fair of him to use Wren the way he is and that is what he’s doing. Thankfully there will be a lot of physical labor to keep them busy because idle hands would definitely wander where they were told they didn’t want to anymore, right Caleb? Who am I kidding? Lol!! If that tent were a trailer, it’d be rocking at night. Couple this with the Unks and their mischief to come and it’s going to be a lively few months....

So Dick was always a dick. Makes sense. 😉 Thank you for sharing your insight. Some of your alternate endings really bore merit but the one you chose was the best one, Greg and Nate deserved a HEA together.
