  1. OK, I’m totally into this, and now I’ve also realised that you have some serious story’s history, how have I missed you!? I really need to up my game.
  2. I’m late to this party - but a great start. I don’t think I’m going to get much done now today...

    Chapter 11

Oh wow, I take it all back... this is the most heart rending chapter so far. But in a (mostly) good way.

    Chapter 10

Thanks for another great update. I'm tempted to agree with @Wesley8890, but then, it's really hard to choose when you make pretty much every chapter a contender.

    Chapter 9

How did I miss this update!? I really hope that this is the beginning of a streak of good things happening.

    The Gift

Thanks I like to imagine that Craagen isn't an elf-slag and that this was a very happy coincidence of potential soul-mate finding.
  7. Yay! I love this story, and it's great to see it back!

    Release Date

Another great update, thanks @ObicanDecko! Unlike my former co-stalkers ( @Bndmetl and @glennish) I've been a little too busy to keep up over the last few days, but now I'm here, I still love where this is going.

    The Gift

OK, I'll let this hugging go just this once! As for more, I really can't commit to that right now - this was kind of fun, and kind of immensely hard to get my head around. And then there's the minor issue of all the other not-yet-completed stories I have... But never say never eh? Maybe Christmas 2018 will see a more substantial revisit to Craagen? Oh dear, I've said it now.....

@Lucky Kitty, @mollyhousemouse, @glennish, @deville, @ColumbusGuy, @ObicanDecko, @BlindAmbition, @Puppilull, @Parker Owens, @MacGreg @northie, @mogwhy @Ivor Slipper, @Mikiesboy, @Ivric, @droughtquake, @Defiance19 Wow! Thank you so much for reading, and it's awesome to know that you have enjoyed my little foray into writing about elves As some of you may be aware, this is way outside of my 'usual' writing, and FYI, it was incredibly challenging to get started with. But actually, I kind of got into it eventually. I hope you have all been enjoying the Christmas time of year - I have, which is why I'm only now commenting.

    The Gift

As elves go, Tligg Winterbaum was pretty average. The thing about that is, most people don’t understand what a pretty average elf really is, which annoys a lot of elves greatly. Of course it’s mostly their own fault. The PR machine of the Great Elven Order is gloriously efficient, like all elven machines are, mechanical or otherwise, and so most humans imagine that elves are all short, thin, happy, playful, good natured little creatures. Whereas, things are not so perfect in reality. Short and t

    The Gift

Against his expectations, Tligg Winterbaum has a surprisingly good time when he ‘volunteers’ for the Christmas preparations at the annual Great Project.

    Liam's story

Boo! Hiss! But also, no rush, I’m sure we can all find something to do Have a great Christmas!
  16. A really sweet story - double packet sweet Like a warm hug, you get exactly what you’re hoping for in their end, and can enjoy the charm and love along the way.

    Chapter 16

Oh, and yeah, great update, I’m pleased that, for whatever reason, there’s going to be more.

    Chapter 16

It would be amazing to get rid of the stigma - and I think it’s happening, slowly. I see many more 20-somethings being much better able to acknowledge, discuss, and address these things more openly.

    Chapter 8

This is heartbreaking. I'm desperately hoping that I can correctly anticipate the outcome here, although I generally fail to do so with your stories, which makes me very sad in this case. I hope this is one of those rare times when I'm right
  21. Go, go now, and read this great story!
  22. No, don’t sit there reading this, go and read the story!

    Tyler

This is an amazing story, but wow, you really have to work for it! It’s brutally realistic, horrifyingly sad, and desperately dark - and I don’t mean just occasionally. But it’s worth the (emotional) work. Tyler is someone that I feel I know well, and care for deeply, and get incredibly angry on his behalf. OK, so what happens? Well, it’s boy (Tyler) vs. world, and frankly, the world is doing a terrifyingly good job of winning, until Connor shows up, and offers the possibility for something better to happen. There are no easy rides here, no happy coincidences, and way too many moments of screaming at the world/terrible people/ineffectual professionals/the screen. But in the end, it’s totally worth it. If anything, the final chapter is a little bit schmaltzy for my liking, but fuck it, after everything that has preceded it I’m in now way going to resent it. Definitely read it, have tissues if you’re prone to emotional outbursts/have any kind of human warmth within you, and give yourself a couple of hours because you won’t be wanting toi
