Aww, that's a nice review. The story was actually back before 'Stories' was up and running and we still had eFiction as the Primary posting user interface. So to make the Anthologies stand out they were singled out and a lot of authors could have them, err, prettied up with backgrounds, pictures, and layouts. The broken pictures were the place holders for different part divisions. They were white roses on a lightish green background.So you're not missing much as far as pictures are concerned.. lol. No beef, I should say. I do wish the story was longer myself, but it is so far removed from my "writing stove" and served too long, that I doubt I could do much with it. All the firsts are there, so. I'm glad you liked it and reviewed the story so nicely. It has always been one of my favorite Anthologies to date.

Thanks! Yeah that entire scene was fun to write. I like having characters that don't seem to have a ceiling as far as character development is concerned. Breezy is interesting, I've not really intentionally focused on Jason's character any certain way. So that may change a bit as the story progresses.. He has a lot of growing to do, I think.

Adam, I hope will be an interesting character. There is definitely a lot more to him, coming up. I actually can't wait until Momma Colby gets a good look at Adam myself.

My story, Force of Nature was updated this week. For some reason though, it says the last Update happened the same day I first published it on Stories though. I blame Steven.

Yeah, I saw that in the original document and thought I changed that time difference.. lol. I think it says two different times because I was thinking.. "wow nine weeks seems like a lot.." and changed it to seven.

The flight was smooth. Sitting up through it didn’t hurt my ribs like I thought it would. The only time they truly bothered me was when I grew tense during the takeoff and landing. I am - that is why I write after all. Stories that you may enjoy that I have written: Standing in Shadows Roommates --- One story I have always loved that hasn't been mentioned above is Shadowgod's: "Living in Surreality."

I have been sitting on this story for awhile: There once was a cop that pulled up beside me in the parking lot of a clinic where I worked. He was a bit put out, since you know, he could be out catching bad guys and issuing speeding tickets, but! Here I was... with a dead battery. (I had left the lights on, but I refused to admit that). So I had to admit, after some stern interrogating, that I didn't know how to jump my own battery. Or change a tire, if that were to happen as well... After a lecture he jumped my car and got back to what he called, "actual work..." What happened to that cop you say? He slept on the couch. -- Seriously though, there are some cops that are insanely bad at their jobs. Those that have poor attitudes for working with people of different races, genders, sexual orientations.. etc. I have not met any of those, thankfully... It is those types that gives those that do nice thankless work a bad name.

I'll try to do this correctly.. Getting it in just under the time too, I think. What a way to start out..
