  1. I saw a posting online... this guy said he'd love to buy a bunch of blow-up dolls... fill them with helium and let them go during the height of the eclipse so all the religious fanatics will think it's the Rapture. 🤣🤣

    Chapter 1

Don't feel bad.. they're funny memories now. My brothers loved to get me riled up when I was little. It was their mission to see how long it would take before I had a meltdown. (Not long btw). Of course they did it when mom and dad weren't around. I have no regrets when I get in a good zinger, especially with my middle brother.. lol.
  3. I threw in the towel....spicy peanut chicken will have to wait. Stick a fork in me because I'm done. I gotta admit... the maple bourbon pulled chicken came out fantastic🤤
  4. With civilized company. Considering I don't have a kitchen table right now... we'd be fighting for floor space with my two mutts. I do have a coffee table that the top raises up to a table height. Hubs uses it now. Scared of dinner conversation... okay.. you just sit quietly. I promise not to spill any secrets.. lol. As for the other two... yeah, it'd be veeerrrryyyyy interesting. (And educational I'm sure.. or is that the dessert conversation... hmmm🤔)
  5. Anytime. Can't wait for the dinner conversation either...
  6. Oh lordy... I just felt his eyes roll from 1300 miles away..😅
  7. Today will be a cooking frenzy. I have to finish the tuscan butter chicken.. spicy Korean beef is simmering on the stove. Maple bourbon chicken is in the crockpot, I've got the fixings for Egg Rolls in a Bowl, and last but not least... I'm going to attempt peanut chicken. My eyes and nose are running from all the onions I've sliced and cooked. Oh yeah.. rice to go with all of this. It might be enough food to last a couple of weeks... I'm not used to my kid being back with us yet. Although the teenage constant grazing years are behind us and he's a bit more health conscious.
  8. I rarely have a hot dog, but when I do... yes, slightly charred is preferred. Not all out black.. but a nice crispy dark brown outside with maybe a few spots of black. It's walking a fine line to get that perfection. You've got maybe 20-30 seconds on the grill between "hell yes" and "oh hell no". Lol

    Chapter 1

No thinking cap required for these. 1. The icky days suck. 2. Family... blood related or not can be so damn frustrating. But it's his move. 3. I've never been great with being told what to read or write. I've tried usibg prompts and crashed and burned every time. You've got a better grasp on it than me. 4. 🤣🤣 5. Procrastination should've been my first name, not middle. Good for you for pushing past it. 6. You already know my views on the concept of a higher power. Nice job with all of these. Cicadas was my favorite.. I can't count the number of times I heard "that's a face only a mother could love" whenever I broke out the tears as a kid. 😂
  10. Well that was an action-packed chapter! It was easily two and half meters tall. Somehow, it resembled the offspring resulting from a wild mating between a sumo wrestler and a T-Rex @Mikiesboy and I know of an-ex cop who might come in handy around these creatures. 🤭😁 “I do not know, Jamie.” RMW's version of "Yes, Minister." (Maybe it was my imagination, but I thought it smelled strangely sweet, like mango. Don't even go there with the habenero @weinerdog) The story is getting more intriguing. Awesome job!
  11. Those next mornings are never fun.. especially if you have to work. I'm happy you've got some sunshine... enjoy it! Sounds like your sweater is coming along great. Posting some poetry huh? Fine. I'll go dig around the closets to see if I can find my thinking cap. It's gotta be buried somewhere. Lol Ok.. Sniglet for today: Ama-zoning imuplshopping- the act of indiscriminately ordering items online while in a fugue state; especially during moments of insomnia in the middle of the night. Have a good day everyone!
  12. Our beloved shadow shifter will always be around ❤️
  13. I've done both over the course of the last 3 months. Both help temporarily until I have to stand up or walk again. I'm gonna let the steroids do their thing... if it doesn't work, I'll probably end up with an injection or a walking boot to help keep the strain off it. I stretched this morning and just that action of extending my leg made it hurt.
  14. Ankle is wrapped. I've been on prednisone for the swelling and it's ok in the morning but by the end of the day it's swollen again. I haven't been getting in more than 2500 steps a day so I'm really not on it all that much. I have a follow up appointment on Tuesday. Spent an hour getting the mount for the TV anchored to the wall... ...it's too high. Back to the drawing board.
  15. I may have bitten off more than I can chew today. Had loads of ambition and energy while hubby was still here. I wanted to wait until after taking him to work to start on organizing and cooking because otherwise.... he's in the damn way. Dropped him off, stopped at a new Aldi to get some stuff I needed (omg.. had to dodge freaking golf carts trying to park). Now that I'm home, I'm looking at the debris field that is my current living arrangement and I've wilted. Lol Stupid ankle is also reminding me that I'm supposed to be keeping off it... but I don't have time for that. I'm tackling this $#!+ anyway. At least the kid is home and I'm going to make him trim and cut up the chicken....
  16. They're not mine either. Numbers and I have a love-hate relationship. I love to hate them.
  17. The day is far from over😁 Enjoy your games!
  18. I would take the Vegas odds of them having other plans... 😆😉
  19. But I'm invested now... Like @Mikiesboy said... it's like a soap opera. Today's agenda calls for making the living room... liveable. Ugh. Also teaching the kid how to make butter chicken. Slowly the chaos is becoming less chaotic. Have a good day everyone!
  20. Well said, my friend. I never really thought about things that way, but you're right... keeping promises to ourselves is just as important as keeping them to someone else. I think most people have a tendency to prioritize others and don't stop to think about what's best for their own self. I'm glad you've committed to your new job. Everyone benefits from having routines. Write what you can, when you can. Some days the words will come, some days they won't and if not... you can always get up and bake 😁 xoxo🩷

    Chapter 1

No... nobody in particular was in mind. I've always described my version of Lucifer as being snarky... so him having a pinch of Schadenfreude is absolutely believable. Thanks for reading!
