So time to say, “You are the weakest link, GOODBYE!”

    Chapter 71

Ummm I had forgotten about that slimeball…… do I believe a word of Z**H’s lamentation? Surprisingly, yes but I fear for Will. another wonderful treat from the Master. Thanks 🙏

    Political Party

Just two, maestro?? I wasn’t sure how the story would go with them back in DC after all the excitement of México DF. But, yet again, Carlos eliminates my doubts. This chapter is wonderful, really good. One small thing story wise, yes CJ is, of course, old enough to deal with Pam, but Ozzie staying silent and leaving it to him? It’s in character but if my late-mother were bad-mouthing my husband I’d have a few things to say in private - like get back to the vineyard! The fact that readers like me get emotionally involved with imaginary characters is a tribute to a writer’s skill. ¡’Eres un crac, Carlos!
  11. Pretty hot stuff!
  12. A fun, fantasy read!
  13. Another v satisfactory chapter! I fear the guys might be underestimating Connor and his cohort(s). The roommate could cause trouble….. umm this could swing both ways,,…… EDIT “either way”
  14. Although showing its age in a number of ways, written in time of don’t ask etc., the central love story is as fresh as it was when I first read this many years ago. Horny sailors, Deep South Memphis, what more more do you want?

    The Long Way Home

Ursula le Guin. There were three short books at one level for children, at another for adults reflecting on truth, and decades later she wrote a fourth. Amazing insights into good and evil. And how a “religion” can control a chosen person. I’m not a great reader of fantasy but this is real literature. good luck with the writing!

  18. Many thanks to @Carlos Hazday for making Brock Brett’s Malibu neighbour in the CJ series. He has led me to this great little gem. Like a tin of beans there is a lot packed in and not a word wasted. now another great author to explore, although sadly, no longer with us.

“two windows with lace curtains over heavy oil paper shades”. More Psycho than Four Seasons….. 😲
