    @drsawzall I think you’re confusing William (oldest son) with Alexander (youngest). William has had a courtesy title ever since George was made a peer. It was Alexander, that George’s father-in-law and Caroline attempted to make the next Lord Heathford Dr s. I think he means that as eldest son William moves up to courtesy title of lord granger and his future son would become lord Ryde - if George still alive..

    Another stunning chp. Yesterday reading Gap Year there were various hints, pleas, fingers crossed to hear news of Granger and, yet again, our dreams have come true with an amazing promotion for both heroes. In todays world I believe there are over 700 members of the Privy Council worldwide, but in Granger’s day being a PC was a greater honour as there were so few members. bravo!

    Interesting comment, James B. I think this book builds on the fantastic GGDDBBs story which allows Rusty’s story to develop in leaps and bounds. For me, though, the memory of Jonathan trying to cope with his first day error is so funny. What a great story teller we have here. x

    The violence was horrible…. but so is the horror of gay-bashing which is still so common. I’m not sure how Pete will really “process” the solution. A tough chp but you did warn us. hopefully things improve.

    I remember a terrifying teacher called Miss Graff in elementary school, she taught maths aided by a cane which accompanied her as she strolled around looking out for victims. Mrs G seems to fit the bill as a reincarnation.

    It’s one of my favourite ingredients as I can’t eat cheese and pineapple helps stop the cheese less pizza from drying out. Pineapple and cooked cheese does sound disgusting, though!
