  1. I can’t believe weather or surfing would be an acceptable reason for university choice for JP, Brad, or any family member. Or Will, himself. Family trust issues are a minor concern once things get sorted. I await with huge interest to see how our author resolves this…… be strong Mark, trust me!,,,, 😛
  2. Interesting. I’m not sure yet but some nice characters.
  3. Ah, thanks. But also cousin vs half-sister whom he promised to care for.

    The Best Year

I got to this late and am now half way through. The writing and storyline appears seamless, despite the author’s acknowledged struggles mentioned above. Like others I’m keen to see how things work out. But also to put a 5********** review on a really, really lovely tale. Thank you Krista. I, like many others, appreciate your writing skills. Hugs from Spain. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

    Chapter 29

Picked up this story in summer 2023 and it is a really sweet read. Some great writing and the pacing of the sexual and emotional tension is first class. As Jackson might say we’re he pass through a McD: “I’m lovin it!” great stuff, thank you Krista
  6. So, can someone explain to this Brit, please, why the weather should be a deciding factor in choosing your university? Ummm. Also, Marie is important but what about his half sister in Boston?

    Chapter 76

I have a plan in mind so your son is not completely devoid of a position.” any connection Mark, with the conversation with GIII in an earlier chp for tomorrow’s Privy Council meeting????????
  8. “Fuck, he was a complete coward.” My reactions: A . um Laura, I am displeased with Matthew but even more with his creator. This CANNOT continue. My stress level rises every chp. Have pity…… B. okay.. I’m calm now. Great chp, can’t wait for more…. Laura you choose which is your most loyal reader’s real reaction…. X
  9. I’ve gone to Calpe. Neighbours said it’s the worst summer heat ever…..

    Chapter 76

Granger’s homecomings used to be a shortish rounding off of the naval tale. But this one…. Gets more and more intense and intriguing. Thank you, Mark and well done!
  11. Ummm the word “creep” comes to mind. But… as my best friend said years ago, “A good creep is never wasted”. A lawyer, of course:……… 🤗
  12. Cold would be lovely. 35° in Mediterranean Spain. “I’m melting”
  13. Straight out of our comfort zone with half a chp. Could this be a cruelty record for mrs M? On a more serious note, this is going to be one tough journey and I fear Kyan hasn’t hit rock bottom yet. As ever, great writing, mrs M 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

    Chapter 78

If I were 17 again and living on west coast of USA then Will’s priorities seem absolutely f……ing perfect. Add the world’s number one university ( which costs me to admit) and what is the problem??????
  15. He’s back!!!!!! Great to get updated with this great saga. Thank you!

    Chapter 78

Why? Surely it won’t be that challenging ( I don’t mean intellectually, of course) and so close to his father? Here in Spain virtually everyone just goes to the local university, living at home or going back every weekend for Mum to do their washing… Obviously, costs, grants etc. come into play but this isn’t an issue for Will! I know, Mark, send him to Magdalen College, Oxford. He could sort my alma mater out!

    Chapter 78

Possibly some readers might need a session with dr C, perhaps. Will’s leitmotif has always been honesty, in its widest sense. The only times he has been in meltdown are when those around him are dishonest, or, perhaps more importantly, when he has been dishonest with himself. Think playing around with someone in a committed relationship and saying it wasn’t his responsibility. He learned his lesson the hard way. I think Mark you do a great job of showing how Will is trying to be realistic and honest to Travis at the same time. Thanks! ps hope yr trip to UK was a success and that Portsmouth inspired you! In three weeks I will be at the Lookout in Lizard Cornwall from where signals were sent as the boats entered The Channel. Will be thinking of Granger, hint, hint 😛😛
  18. Oxford, I’m a Brit. Nice to hear that the ex colonies produce British gentlemen! 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
  19. Something’s go more slowly. I remember walking down High St on a mid-feb afternoon wearing black suit, shoes etc, white shirt, white (real) bow tie, gown, hood and mortar board, plus thesis. Apart from the feeling of terror ahead of me, my strongest memory is of a group of Asian tourists staring at me as if I was in a film…… Still the dressing up part was fun! Ladies were able to wear large black bin bags so long as their stockings and shoes were black.

    Serious Business

Utterly intriguing, rather hypnotic. Definitely not in Rusty’s world. Hudson is in adangerous space.
  21. A powerful, if disturbing, piece of erotica. Very well written and with content that will get you thinking. Be brave and read!

  22. Well, I’m about halfway through this most beautifully written piece of prose. The initial premise is well- known. New guy in school meets outsider etc. but is the language and depth of characterisation that makes this seem utterly new and refreshing. I strongly recommend it to be read. You will thank me!!

    Lacrimosa

Wow, a very powerful chp, as usual in exquisite prose. I’m trying to ration myself but it’s not working. 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

    Carlos Hazday

That says it all. So, so sad.
