    I enjoyed reading Mam’s letter in a Cork accent to myself. Had a colleague once with the thickest Cork accent. Like a foreign language and I’m half Irish…. Great chp. 😃

    Good news! That must have been a bit scary. My big sister had to be “v brave” for a barium-based test on Thursday. All really weird. Her terrible hip pain is actually linked to her chronic lung disease. Slowly the pieces are coming together to make sense of all her symptoms. Sadly, incurable.

    A highly intricate, tightly scripted story that draws the reader into worlds that exist beyond most people’s imagination. We see the utter depravity of what humans are capable of doing and also the power of human love. This is an exceptional piece of writing, one of the best I have read since joining GA. It is not for the faint-hearted but it is an inspiring read. Apart from praising the author it makes one think long and hard about the cost to those involved in trying to protect the innocent and prosecute the guilty.

    There are some v good crime stories on the site but this is in a league of its own. The comments show just how implicated @empath’s reading public is. I suspect that the more humourous comments are coping mechanisms after reading some particularly challenging parts. Well done 👍

    A very enjoyable read continues to entertain as well as having a more serious angle about managing relationships. Not sure if we will be passing through St Brise on our way to uk. The world is not ready to see me in a thong, or worse!

    Back in the day I worked for a number of years with mainly adult male survivors of all types of abuse. I taught a university course on sexuality and sexual ethics and introduced a section on abusers. Every year there would be someone waiting casually at the back of the classroom. Their stories have stayed with me. My own encounter with an abusive person is told in a story which should be ready by month-end.

    This is an excellently written story. The horrors suffered are not ignored but there is no excessive detailing, for which I for one, am most grateful. Not an easy read but an important one. Well done 👍

    I did a seafood risotto yesterday and got distracted for 30 secs and burned the bottom. The supposedly non stick pan goes in bin and off I go tomorrow to buy the best nonstick pan in Valencia! Paco was polite and said he didn’t notice. Cute 🥰
