A great follow up which whilst set in only a couple of weeks allows our characters to show how they have developed during the intervening year. Cleverly written. Not much seems to happen and yet the story is densely packed. Lots of humour, lots of love, but with sadness interwoven. V enjoyable.

I loved this book when I read it pre joining GA. I have just re-read it and it stands the test of time. I love the characters, especially Andrew’s mother. Church groups need more like her to cut through the pious crap. thank you Cia for recommending this story d well done Topher. -
This reads as good second time around. I highly recommend the book, and the series. Characters are well-rounded, the storyline is great and it’s very well-written. A perfect bing read.

Exactly. Last week my best friend in Spain called us to say she was popping around. She entered and said, “Bad news, I’ve got inoperable pancreatic cancer.” Previously healthy as ….., non smoker, hardly drinks wine, exercises daily, excellent diet, a year until she was due to retire……. My conclusion, live each day as well as you can live it. Pressure, be it from outside or from within can sometimes be toxic. Hugs

It seem as though lots of issues have been/are being resolved which should make Thanksgiving a success. Oh I forgot, Will has a small outstanding issue with granny and auntie…. Can’t wait 😜 Thank you Mark, as ever, a great chp.

Glad to know there is no water shortage in CA…. I THINK I have a form of hydrophobia.. I loath showers, and bath tubs even more. I only shower daily for hygiene, never for pleasure. I’m happy to walk on our wonderful beaches but haven’t set foot in the sea in decades. To each his/her own.

Can’t be a Brit as we call “yellow mustard” “English”, of course! Not someone who lives in/ has visited frequently NYC for only eating that monster sandwich once. Hates coffee, me too but not a huge help. Perhaps of mature years? Had health issues in past, perhaps 🤔. “Mate” umm an Aussie, perhaps. Ok, I admit it, I’m no Sherlock H. I haven’t a clue…..

There is a beautiful but haunting video in uk press of married guys rejoicing about their trip to India and the spiritual blessings of their trip. Apparently, it was posted the night before they died on the way home.

Left or right turns, usually the opposite direction to that which has been, politely, requested. Now they are enjoying the delights of a country cottage with wooden stairs and floors. I have a suitcase to block the stairs off!
