Tut, tut, Mark for copying from Napoleon’s tomb in Paris! 😆

My medieval history prof was once asked in which era he would like to live: “the present, sanitation and analgesics.” No fool he.

    Chapter 2

An enjoyable start. Thank you 😊
  6. Yes, he pales in comparison with monsieur Elliot.
  7. Please take care. That is a recipe for some serious health issues if you aren’t careful. 🤗

A win for you and a great win for us! The complex webs that politicians weave, uff. Many thanks. 🙏

    Chapter 1

Sorry, couldn’t finish this. The style of writing drove me mad and I gave up. Too old for “grinder style”? Others, fortunately, got to the end and enjoyed it. I didn’t.
  10. Although not a fantasy fan, I gave this ago and was glad I did. World-building is v good and coherent. I liked the likable characters and loved the Magister. As others have commented, the ending is abrupt but powerful. Well done.

  11. A delightful tale of a young guy and a murder of crows. Anything more might spoil things. Funny and v clever. Well-worth a read.

    Chapter 1

After the first couple of lines I was ready to give up. I just didn’t “get” it. But as an obedient reader I continued. The last line made it worth the effort- very twisted… and funny in a sick way.
  13. The title says it all. Some secrets maybe good, family secrets rarely are and this story is one of what happens when the Pandora’s box of family secrets is opened. It’s a v moving story building to a climax and revelation. Revealing the truth has never been so important. well done, author.

The story certainly hits the brief. Family secrets are rarely good. This is a v stimulating read. Well done SA.

As ever you are the master of naughty comments! 😈
  16. Not sure this is my thing, nor that it will be fun for Tommy.
  17. You learn something new every day…. In GA!

I totally agree. I’m completely hooked.

    Chapter 2

Densely packed with emotion. Great story-telling.
  21. Exactly. These evil creatures just look at you and think you are easy game. They are correct, of course. The smaller one is the terrorist-in-chief. Butter wouldn’t melt etc. Good news, though, today. Computer cable repaired after canine destruction. Only 4€ and a competent electrician on hand! And, more importantly, I’m finally COVID negative and can restart my hated immuno suppressant jabs. Although I should not complain: 100% covered by social security here in Spain. Sadly, “biologics” are v expensive but at least price worldwide is dropping from original 2,000$ per 10 ml. You can do the maths…. Now it’s 1,000€ here per month but free on health service. My life has been transformed by them. Hopefully, I can now correct the uploading of a little story about living with a chronic illness for 49 years. I’m a lucky guy.
  22. A funny, and clever, little tale. Well worth having a read. BTW the author’s other stories are v good!

    Chapter 1

I’m totally confused by this story. Who has the paperweight at the start of the fight? If Tony hit him with it then there would be a mark or two. 🤔

    Mobster Meeting

Ace chapter. Thanks, Mark. Now back to the last SA stories, just to check that my answer for your story is based on complete research. Can’t see you doing were-creatures or vampires, though with your characters here who needs them!
  25. I bet Gray has watched all of his films in UEA if not in an art house cinema somewhere!!
