  1. Great job!
  2. Great chp to conclude my catching up with Ralph. A very useful chat with the uptight Nolan. It showed the guys are still in the early days. Another enjoyable story sails along nicely…. 🤗
  3. @Summerabbacat, you still manage to shock me from time to time! This is one I am trying to erase from the memory banks……. Naughty!
  4. Dont think I will ever be skinny again, but need to lose another 4 kg (8.8 lb) to get drs off my back…. With the weiner dog monsters I seem to be losing hair faster than grams…
  5. Trying to rest whilst the evil sisters are playing on my bed… sooner or later, off to the beach to get them worn out!!
  6. One look at the picture was enough!
  7. @Ron, This is freaky. I’ve never heard of this disease and the physiological issue behind it.. the Wikipedia photos made me feel ill. And now, here in Spain, Netxflix episode of The Resident features a fractured penis. Serendipity or NIGHTMARE!!!!
  8. These medical words are stressing me out. And now I need a wee…..

    The Price

Yep, perhaps we should do a crowd funding (or whatever it is called) to put @Mark Arbour on a retainer, v generous of course, so that he can dedicate himself exclusively to his thousands of readers and their addictive needs……
  10. Yep! There is some quality reading here.

    Older Men

I’m just enjoying the peace and quiet without the ex-son and ex-brother….. Unlike @PrivateTim, I do not like this Fabien guy. He is trouble and, I fear, toxic. As my Nan used to say, “there’ll be tears before bed time” with this one…., “Mark my words!” An unquieting chp for me…..
  12. A brutally honest look back at a dead relationship which is steeped in a literary background. Even the pets’ names have a coded message for the reader. This was a joy and a heartbreak to read. Magnificent.

  13. This is a wonderful piece of writing, utterly breathtaking for me. It is also very clever as in one sense it could be taken as pure nostalgia but there isn’t the regret, it’s the brutal honest looking back that took so long to achieve. Wow.

    Loneliness

Sorry, Catullus was the poet and is quoted in a beautiful piece in the Anthology.
  15. I’m lost but intrigued……. @drsawzall!?!?

    Loneliness

First up, you have beautiful writing skills to be proud of. Secondly, the intensity of feelings, often contradictory, that you fit into three short lines is wonderful. I’m in awe. At UK grammar school, poetry was a nightmare with weekly tests on memorising verses, rather than trying to enter into the poet’s world. And then in Latin, one year, we hit Ovid and a two-liner that I more or less remember 50 years on: I love you and I hate you. How is this possible? I don’t know but it’s tearing me apart inside. keep writing!

    Let Freedom Ring

Story is worthy of the excellent comments above. Well done, @empath!
  18. A very compelling read. This is a really good take on the coming out story and is very well written, indeed. In a way it is perfect as it is.
  19. Unfortunately, they are not popular with my sister’s dogs who spend hours on guard duty waiting for a grey squirrel to attempt to get past “anti-squirrel device” on bird feeder…. All hell breaks out! As vermin, in the past you could get a reward from the police for producing the grey squirrel tails in a police station. Sadly, v hard to see a splendid red squirrel now in uk.
  20. An amusing tale which left me slightly queasy until the end! Nice (?!?!?!) humour, Lee!

    Quack, Quack

    Slightly nerve-wracking to read! 😱😱😱😱
  22. My goodness, so much packed into 1600 words…. I kind of like Therese a bit more. At least human….. good stuff, Robert
  23. As ever, @PrivateTim has the perfect comments. Today entering Valencia we saw an advert for the Día de la Hispanidad, previously celebrating Columbus, which declared “1492 - they were heroes and saints”, I nearly hit another car in shock!
  24. Welcome! This is a safe place for all of us in our individual journeys. Best wishes from Spain, Gary.
  25. If you want a pair of naughty weiner dogs……
