  1. Time to jump in the pool…..
  2. Only……. Comments show how much @chris191070 is appreciated on this site. His reviews have led me to authors I would never have considered “my type”. Thanks Chris
  3. Some great answers! Thanks
  4. God, those friends of Therese are the limit: I don’t know how he does it, I honestly don’t.” Therese sighed. “But I’m playing nice.” “For the moment, girl. But you keep a watch and make sure things don’t get out of hand.” An interesting chp and we await the photoshoot 😜With bated breath.
  5. Now that is good news for your readers! Thank you very much, @Robert Hugill.
  6. Nicely written first chp. Happy to see how this works out. Well done 👍
  7. As always, a great reflection from my friend @Summerabbacat. I think it is the authenticity of the storyline, the characters and the great dialogue, they all work together in a compelling way to make Robert’s stories so enjoyable. it is hard to have sympathy for Jackie and I struggling with the innocent until proven guilty. I do like Arthur’s character. Without him, Ludo would be like a bowl of jelly, wimp flavour! @Robert Hugill this was a nice long chp to get our teeth in to. Thanks!

    Chapter 1

Beautifully written story. Thank you. X
  9. A very thoughtful and moving tale of WW1 and its demands. Hard to think so many from all over the world fought for the “empire”. Here is a tale of two lovers whose life is hit by the war. Well worth a read.

  10. Not sure my partner would stress patience as being one of my strong points…… but for this story I can be patient! keep up the excellent work 🤗

    Defensive Maneuvers

Totally agree with the above comments. I’m on a reread and it’s even better.

    Twenty-Eight

Nope! But I have flown BA London JFK return for £99 many years ago, with a flukey upgrade as well! But those days are long over 😢
  14. As always, @Summerabbacat puts things better than I. And a deserved rating for @Robert Hugill ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  15. Totally agree with both sentiments 😍

    Double Date

    Hurrah 😃
  17. Two feet to the floor and I’m in ruins…… only Granger chps can ease the pain…… 🙏

    Sorry, but what is Target?…..
  19. Now this is getting v serious, @Mark Arbour, be v careful with the brother of the world’s greatest novelist ( in my humble but correct opinion 😀). BTW I’m now bed bound after a ridiculous fall - pushed out of bed during a terrible storm by a weinerdog puppy… yes true. Nothing in comparison with the horrors 15 miles south where 200+ deaths in flash floods. I’m just badly bruised and nothing broken X

    Discharge

Impossible! But a little bit naughty occasionally, yes, just to keep his fans on tenderhooks! ok Mark, so, perhaps I deserve a chp as a reward for my loyalty!? ps (and not creeping) Mark, your writing gets stronger and stronger!
  21. Thank you so much. Ive just watched a news report, unreal. After a horrific flood in the 1950’s, the river Turia’s path was diverted to the other side of the city whilst the original riverbed is now a fantastic park, great for cycling etc. the new floodway is incredibly wide and there is hardly any water in it except in winter. To see it overflowing was. Beyond belief. I used drive by every day to work. After nearly a year with no rain it was almost to be expected. hugs
  22. Thank you so much. On a clear day I can see the coastal mountain zone which was badly affected, here on north side we just had a few storms. During which a terrified weinerdog puppy pushed me out of bed and I crashed into furniture and then a stone floor. Nothing is broken but slow recovery muscle-wise. I can just walk around the block with the puppies before my leg gives way. Good side is I can catch up on a few stories….. take care.
  23. An excellent piece of writing from our newish writer. @empath is a welcome new star, in my opinion. This is beautifully written, holds together really well, and draws you into a delightful love story. This and their other stories are highly recommended. 5*****
  24. I thought that it was going to be a mistake to continue the story after chp one appeared in the anthology, but I was wrong. This is a thoroughly enjoyable, and at times challenging, read.

    Quite Contrary

    Keep up the great work!!!
