A difficult read. Ethan has already admitted to killing two people. And it could have been three in the case of Michael's dad. But I still get the feeling that there is more good inside him than bad.

Winter blues, or S.A.D. (seasonally affected depression) can sometimes be a real bummer.

We learn a little more about the protagonist's past and I'm thinking now about the relationship between Michael and his father (Mr Jamieson) and wondering whether that is going to lead Ethan/David repeating his actions of ten years ago.

An interesting start. Like Gary (@Headstall) I am left wondering if there is a supernatural element to this story, although I see nothing in the story tags to suggest there is. You have a distinctive story voice, almost poetic at times. I shall be interested to see where the story goes.
