As usual a lot of things to talk about about after a Ronyx chapter but the one thing thing I have to mention is we have seen the first interaction between Seth and Aunt Marie and in that one conversation Aunt Marie has been more of a Mother to Seth then his own Mom has been in this whole story so far. Uncle Steve was a crackup Uncle Steve laughed and replied, “Nothing wrong with being a nerd.” He looked over and winked at me. “I was a nerd in high school too. I’m now making three times the money than most of the boys who made fun of me.” He smiled at me and added, “Don’t worry, Seth. You’ll get the last laugh. Just remember, he who laughs last, laughs best.” Stacy gave Uncle Steve a puzzled look and asked, “What’s that mean.” Uncle Steve laughed harder as he looked at Stacy and replied, “I didn’t expect you to get it.” Sounds like Uncle Steve has Stacy down pat so safe to say so does Aunt Marie only the mother is clueless Well at least Craig didn't ditch football practice as it got cancelled but he still went to Roni's house.Why? Did he notice them leaving the parking lot? Or was it just to check to see if Seth was there? After speaking to Roni later that day Craig sounds like a emotional wreck in his own right.Breaking up with Stacy was very telling.I still think Craig is a danger but this puts a little different perspective on things. I squinted my eyes, and I saw a figure buried under several blankets. “Blake?” I called out softly. He sat up and looked my way. As long as I live, I will be haunted by the ghastly face staring back at me. That could mean that Blake is distraught at what happened the day before but it also could be more.Something Roni said earlier in the chapter “It’s weird,” she replied. “He started ranting about how fucked up his life is. He said some things that really worried me. I went into the house with him when he got his clothes. He dressed and then just left. I tried to get him to talk about it, but he told me it was too late to talk.” She gave me a worried look. “You don’t think he will do something to himself, do you?” Based on that statement and the number of times Blake made mention of killing himself I hope he didn't do anything like take a bunch of pills or something.Ron has had important characters die in a few of his stories one was very well liked and another wasn't as well liked but wasn't hated either. While my gut tells me that is not going to happen here you definitely can't rule it out

A few thoughts (Which of course Geron won't answer) " But while we have been doing that, it seems they have quietly outmaneuvered us, coming at us instead by proxy, with this brigade of total unknowns." Was that Thorvil's plan? If it was no matter how much confidence he had in Jamie its still very risky to do that with a 15 year old unless of course he had some Magick to control things maybe Thorvil was using a mind control for good purposes. Just a thought. BTW I thought we would see Thorvil by now Now I'm not so sure we will, nah Geron will use 20,000 words if he has to. A tremendous volume of earth was jetting in every direction from the position they had just left, . From that can we ascertain that they have been on the planet Earth? Or is it just used as an expression here? Got to say brilliant cliffhanger

St. Micheal the arch angel is very prominent in the Catholic religion some priests end masses with the prayer to St. Micheal part of the prayer said "Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil" That makes Micheal the perfect Angel for Armand and Carl to paint here

This time when Jamie had one of his visions the rest of the group saw it also unlike before. I got to thinking I guess only a few moment passed when he and the lens was figuring things out am I right.Because if it took Jamie the same amount of time to figure it out as it took us readers to read it I can picture the group thinking "Ah geez he's spacing out again"😄

I want to say I remember hearing this about 20 or so years ago give or take.In the mountains close to where I live in So Cal there were reports on the news about mountain lions being more aggressive when seeing humans the report went on to say that usually a mountain lion would run away from a human much like a stray cat would but more recently were starting to act more dangerous .Animal control officials didn't have an explanation for it at the time. Anyone hear about similar situations at other places? This has had probably has been written about by other authors who write about the same topic maybe even by @Bill W in past stories but will Devin and Mac try to be intimate when they are in other forms in the future? I never came across this yet

Most of us thinking a final showdown between Jamie and Porvus but something tells me thats not going to happen .One possibility is Porvus perishes at the hands of Lodda. Another one could be like the scorpion and frog Porvus would turn on Jamie but Jamie will sense it just in time.

I just started the chapter but one thought I have before meeting (If they have it) How will Porvus react to Irik ,Gorg and Bastion having magick ? He believed that they were inferior.Also Snave will be a surprise

I compare Lodda and Porvus not knowing Jamie's can transport without having been there before to the Japanese in WW11 not being able to understand the Navaho language (That came up in another story)You think thats fair comparison? We found out Seeri and Rier went to go see the Council.That tells me they will intervene at the most strategic moment.
