Beautiful chapter the conversations with Loe and Lars were very realistically done although how many of know how a conversation like that goes but in my imagination this would be pretty close I felt all the emotion.My only question is as Lars got older how could he just keep taking his parents word that Loren just left I think as he learned more about life he should have started to question that something about the story he was told didn't add up.Do you have a plan for Loe and Lars to confront the parents? If for no other reason then to scream at them YOU TWO ARE POS!!!!!!! Well what I speculated in the last chapter comments everything that happened in this chapter makes it seem more likely.I hope its my overactive imagination.If I wasn't thinking what I am thinking this would be good thing usually making friends.I think Valen made a unintentional mistake when he explained his "boyfriend" had the same first name as Caffa.He mentioned that Caffa's eyes widened .Not because he had the same first name but to me because he heard the word boyfriend and he thinks to himself "Oh he's gay" he invited Valen to the Buffett and then to the study group I think that's moving too fast even if he only wanted to friends.Okay I'll stop here lie I said before I hope Im 100% Wrong

Very clever Ken shorthand for Kenji Japanese guy I bet none of us saw that coming .Both River and Ken(Ji?)have something in common and that is being direct. Ken shows up from I assume out of town without River knowing and River invites Finn for drinks even before Alec hears about any of this.A thought occured to me as I am typing this could this be a scheme they both cooked up? Scheme or not River knows Alec well enough that he had to do something whether it works or it's a disaster it is still better Alec leaning toward just leaving. One thing the way you described how River and Ken was dressed and throw in Finn with his everyday good looks a foursome like that walking into small town bar is bound to turn heads.They could almost look like a new version of the Village People.Purple combat boots?🤔

Making the adjustment to life in college nothing new there.My worry is all that time apart with Lauti.He already started thinking how good looking Tomi is. I hope you enjoyed your vacation Ron😀 Natalie hit the nail on the head you can't argue with stupid and sadly we are seeing examples of that pretty much on a daily basis theses days.The conversation Parker and Natalie had him thinking about his friends.They don't come over anymore to swim I don't believe they hate him because they grew up with him but I do think they have a irrational problem with Parker something like "Parker's OK but.......with Dan I think things might be more serious in a negative way So the chapter end on a small cliffy.Parker is wary of going into that black establishment understandable. But Charley's Chicken Shack being what sounds like a successful place won't not stand for any incident to happen and Parker is with Darius who at the moment is a minor celebrity for the wrong reason so I doubt anything will happen but Parker will definitely feel eyeballs on him.I hope he gets a chance to speak to the black girl who attends his school and this subject comes up. This may or may not be part of the story in upcoming chapters but Pastor Moore who right now is rightfully involved in fighting this issue I'm curious with his religious background I wonder what his reaction will be when Darius and Parker get serious will he have a problem with his son having a gay BF?And would he see how he would be acting not that different from the racists.It may turn out he will have no problem with it but it would be an interesting side story if he did.

Wow what MB had to go through was as tense as anything they all had to go through up to the point.From what I understand preeclampsia is rare.All that stuff Loren and Jay brought to MB wasn't nearly enough. I think that's gay teen fiction rule #7 moms always calls at the worst possible time. What I'm thinking is the call is about something has happened there and they will be staying longer then they first thought.so that could give Aric and Blake more time together to sort things out

The previous comments say this better then I can and I said something similar before the very real obstacles that was present before in both of their lives are no longer there that shitty hand Alec mentioned has passed.Alec should really consider Finn's question“What’s so great about Washington?”.What will be there for waiting him?More the same f----d up non relationships he's had.Alec stay for awhile you can do your work from Iowa.But he should see what could happen if he doesn't it will just be more regret. The one possible valid concern is if he did this it would be the first separation from River in a looooong time that is not insignificant.I assume this Ken guy lives in Washington not Iowa that would be too convenient.Alec could still take legitimate business trips to Washington and keep in touch with River maybe even bring Finn along a few times heck he could rent his house to River and Ken.Okay I'm finished with the rant LOL listen to me telling Alec what to do as if I have been so perfect making decisions for myself😄
