Kage is a very interesting character. Still undecided on his boss whether he is good or evil but it certainly sounds like Huntington is your classic villainous POS.Curious how Elijah parents got possession of the laptop. Not an important detail but geez no way Elijah should have been working that day after what happened. I remember taking a spelling test in grade school and the word "antidisestablishmentarianism" came up we all went "WHOA!" I spelled it right though😀. Some of those thing Luke mentioned" I don't want people to think I'm looking for sympathy" "I want to be on my own, and not pollute others with how I'm feeling." I have to confess I have had thoughts like that and can relate.You have me wondering if I have a lesser degree of what Luke has. I don't have the dreams Luke has but the dreams I do have make no sense or logic at all does that correlate? Now this stalker thing at the very least escalated to a huge red flag.Unless this guy lived on the street which I'm sure Luke would know if he did there is no reason he should be aware of Luke laying down on his lawn unless he got up and at that time of night and drove past Luke's house.Very disturbing sign. Although we don't know yet it sounds like Edith is going to be less then a nice person to Luke if she does that I hope if that happens Len sets her straight

You got to the point really quick.Murdered parents I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.When Elijah couldn't think of anybody who wanted his parents dead my next thought made me wonder if it was connected to Elijah's association to Sebastian and the others but it's way, way, way to early to speculate especially after meeting this character Kage. "They'd been best friends since kindergarten. He was the only one, other than his parents, who knew Elijah could shapeshift. They spent a good part of their teenage years using that to their full advantage. It was easy to purchase alcohol when you were a forty-year-old tourist." Out of all the things I was thinking about what I would do if I was a shapeshifter buying alcohol wasn't one of them but I guess it's appropriate that you would think of that after all those times I heard you mention whiskey.Hmm were you a shapeshifter growing up🤔

Oh my six calls in a short period of time from Alec's Dad that could only be one of two things and that is that it has happen or is very very close to happening.Since it was six calls it sounds like a sense of urgency one can't help to think maybe one last conversation

Another great chapter but you know what's the toughest thing about reading your chapters?The make the Buffetts sound awesome I had to get up and make a snack a few times

So now it's been revealed how the two parts of the story connect.I have not looked at the chapter comments yet to see if anybody said this so my guess is Zev and Ben resemble the other two images in the painting Rosalie referred to.But before I start sounding like I'm a know-it-all I didn't see the part about Reilly's brother being involved in this coming.Oh yeah this story has all the good elements in it.

On one hand mentioning the guy he met at the fair and then wondering if that was him who he almost ran into with the coffee would make a reader think there is a reason why that guy was mentioned.But on the other side of the coin judging by the title of the story it could be Luke's way of second guessing himself and chiding himself for missing an opportunity I guess the next few chapters will tell which way this going.Or because this is me saying this both of my thoughts could be wrong that would be nothing new.

You wrote that Ben's first night at the Diner went "smooth as molasses" I guess Ben and I have a little something in common except I'm slow as molasses. This is really, really good

Adding to Mikedup comment I'm not sure did the story end? It would be a trip if Theresa and Geno visited someday and then see themselves in the mural

Although Parker is smart I think he said fifth in his class if I'm not mistaken that probably won't get him in Harvard but Massachusetts has the most universities per square mile in the country(something like that) the majority of them are prestigious so I'm sure Parker can attend a nearby place while Darius is attending Harvard but I guess that will be up to Ronyx LOL
