    Darryl did so well. Jason has a got a great boyfriend and a great best friend.

    This was a heavy chapter but needed. Jason and Peter are going to face more uphill struggles because of money. Peter needs to let go of his insecurity and accept that Jason loves him and no amount of money will change this.

    Yet another great chapter. A fight about money and insecurities and emotions. Quite deep. Fingers crossed for these 2.

    The frustration levels are going to be difficult for both our guys, but they are worth more than any amount of frustration. We all want them to succeed and to be happy together. 😊

    Great for Jason and Darryl, however, being captains of the soccer team will make them more high profile. This could make Jason's relationship with Peter, more dangerous than before.

    Glad that they are getting to know each other better. There are going to be awkward moments for sure, but they can work through those.

    I re-read this and almost cringe - I've learned a lot from a lot of talented people since I started this story 5 years ago. If I had enough time I'd love to go back and rework it some and clean it up - sigh, time, time time. Thanks Dave! You know, I've read a lot of stories on GA. I'm loving this. Your writing is engaging and the words fly by.

    Whichever way it goes with Damian and contact with Jackie, she remains his mother and the negative impact on Damian, has already been immense and will be even more so, after a prison visit. My own view is that Damian needs protection first and guidance from a professional who understands 10 year-olds. Ludo should visit Jackie, but not too soon either or it will arouse suspicion. Rather just leave her well alone until after the trial.

    Mrs Winston appears again, as I had hoped she would. Alongside Lesley, Gordy, Graham and Dot, Mrs Winston could be part of a great friendship circle for our two men. ❤️ Gordy running a kids party? 😆 🤣 they would never forget it and the mums will want to be there too.

    This would have been a distressing incident for the boys. Well done Adam, for standing up for Damian! As for religious fervor, this is something you find in every faith and every community to some degree. It was bound to come out, but I think the headmistress dealt with it well. She too, may become member if the circle.

    As much as I dislike DCI Kemble, these jobs need to get done for the common good. Ludo handled himself well, and despite the snide comments from the DCI, he was strong and direct. Arthur is amazing.

    What a lovely Pastoral type if chapter, definitely reminiscent of Trollope's Barchester series as @peter rietbergen says, albeit a modern version. Yesterday, I drove through Stanford, a beautiful small Victorian-era town in the Western Cape (South Africa), with a stone Anglican church, a village common with a cricket pitch. In my head, this chapter took place in Stanford. Gawain is a great kid and I like Graham more and more.

    I like Lesley more and more and I think she will become a real stalwart in their camp. Alessio has his goods on display. 😆 🤣 😂 I think Ludo and Arthur are in this for good. Still would like to see Graham and Gordy hitting it off.

    A pacey chapter for sure. Damian is going to need a kindly ear and wise advice to deal with the hurt he is bound to feel over Jackie's behaviour and intentions. Graham remains an intriguing character. 🤔

    Jackie is the evil ice queen no doubt. As others have said, it is ironic that discovering his sexuality saved Ludo's ass. All too often, it is what blows up lives.
