What a lovely surprise to get a Granger chapter! Caroline continues to be caught between the conflicting emotions of jealousy, anger and desire, with George at the centre. The British diplomats are an inept lot, and it is no wonder that Daventry is furious. Let's see how this goes down when he gets back to London. As for Caroline, she will have several months of confinement on the Isle of Wight. I can't imagine she will like it much. But, as a means to social rehabilitation it will work for her.

Jack has given Ryder a lot to think about, but will it be sufficient to move him away from the madness of Cassandra? If Cassandra is leading Ryder astray, then all of the convolutions needed to avoid Danny, and find Pembroke will be unnecessary. If Jack is telling the truth, then mating with Danny and going home to sort out Cassandra seems to be much simpler. Usually the correct answer is the least convoluted one. -

What a super start to the new story. It's good to see Rony again. The years that have passed between his arrival as a teen to now somewhere between 25 and 30 will be great to explore through the eyes of our Thompsonville gang.

That was a heart wrenching start to what, I think, will be a dramatic tussle between generations and worl views. Peter and Alan are mature beyond their years and this parenting experience will make them more so.

Black Swans is a little window into the lives of 3 people. It illustrates the natural cycles of life and seasons in a magnificently poignant way. It is so simple, yet so powerful as it fictionalized the eternal themes of, purpose, remorse, happiness, determination. This is a brief but powerful read.

Far too many cats. I have 2 that I inherited from my daughter when she moved overseas. That Thompson and Red are going to cause a lot of trouble.

So Aaron amd Tony meet and will, I'm sure, become firm friends. Scott gave good advice and i trust that Cass on receiving the email will make the right decision. Matt should be told though. He will feel it a breach of trust if Luke keeps it from him.

Wow. That was unexpected. Cass is a predator and could get into a LOT of trouble. I'm glad Luke got away. Tony visiting can only be because he has been tossed out by his lovely mother.

The Fifty-Three Year Old Virgin is a well-written story of two men in their 50s who meet and fall in love. The story of Walter and José could be the story of your neighbours, the quiet men on the school board, or it could be your story. A great read, and highly recommended.
