  1. I wonder what Ian needs to tell Carlos so urgently. I’m sure Ian knows about his son.
  2. Something is afoot, as @Philippe suggests, but what exactly?
  3. I wonder if Mia thinks Gael was a phase for Carlos. Carlos will cheat . It is inevitable.
  4. Amanda is a total witch. I’m hopeful that Gael will get out of there, start his own successful company and move on. But I admit I’m also hopeful that Carlos will come to his senses at some time in the future.
  5. It is easy to understand where Carlos is, but the pain Gael is experiencing due to betrayal may outweigh the pain of Carlos because of deceit.

    The Sandtrap

Agreed. My mind is in the same place. Son of a ranch owner who has fled for any number of possible reasons - abuse being one of the possibilities. in fact Taggert is quite a lot like Missy.

    Branding Day

I’m absolutely loving this! My favourite genre and an intriguing story. We are all eager to see what has led to Taggert being as prickly as he is. Could the previous trauma have been inflicted by parents? loving the cowboys!

    Branding Day

    Thinking exactly the same thing.

    Branding Day

I’m thinking the same. Taggert may have been branded himself which could be why he had to keep his eyes closed.

    Chapter 1 Enemies?

Loving it already. These two are going to be a great couple - I hope. As for Augie’s father, he sounds like a right eejit. Let’s see how this pans out, but a wonderful start!

I can’t wait to start reading. Yeehaa!

    Night Falls

They move inexorably closer to the time of trial that Whiteflame must face. But are the evil trees dead? Or not? Does the past shift? Or not? Let’s see.

    Trench Rat

Trench Rats is a delightful tale of two men finding peace together a hundred years apart. It’s a conundrum but has a miraculous feel to it. This was a perfect holiday weekend read.

    Chapter 7

Delightful! Loved every moment of reading it. Thank you!

    Chapter 6

That was totally unexpected, but what a beautiful piece of writing. Next level!

    Chapter 5

There is a touching innocence about Alfie. Time for Robert to look for that journal and undid more info on Paddy. @centexhairysub may be right. Perhaps Paddy survived and I wonder, if he did, what became of him. And why is it Robert that seems to connect with Alfie?

    Chapter 4

My great-grandfather survived the Battle of Delville Wood in 1916. He brought back a piece of wood with him which he carved into a cross. Some years ago I took a stroll through the WWI military cemetary in Durban, South Africa and was reduced to tears as I read row after row of names of young men who fell in that war to end wars. I well up just thinking of it. I do hope Robert and Alfie can bring peace to one another.

    Chapter 3

What a delightful young ghost! Alfie and Robert are meant to meet and perhaps both will find the peace they need theough the encounter. Let’s see.

    Chapter 2

We meet the “trench rat” and he is handsome young ghost. As @drpaladin suggests, he may well be unaware that he is dead. I wonder who Patrick is? 🤔

    Chapter 1

I’m late to this story but looking forward to the rest of the tale. I’ve not read an @lomax61 story I haven’t enjoyed, so this is sure to be a cracker.
  22. Wooohooo! We have a forest fire!🔥 I wonder if they are reshaping the past or still in learning mode?
  23. They make have to embark on a deforestation exercise if they are to be victorious. Where are fire magicians when you need them?
  24. Theo is a feisty little pup for sure and hasn’t changed much as an adult. I can’t be called Theo! I’ve been waylaid and comeback late to the story, but I’m still of the opinion that Vee and Jack won’t be able to change the past, but perhaps, they can save the future by understanding the past.
