    Chapter 11

WOW!! Dazzle me with words, make me sweat then relax and sweat again until I can't handle it anymore and here come the tears! I will NEVER forget this chapter and how you, @James Carnarvon took my fragile self on a roller coaster ride through hell. You own me now and I will willingly follow you wherever you want to take me! Thank you for my racing heart!

    Surprise Reunion

I, too, think that Risen has unduly received the short end of the stick in this whole affair! I would be shocked if his little heart has not been broken into a thousand pieces and he has not been scared for life for an innocent mistake in judgement on his part for not knowing what a colossal homophobe his so called friend would turn out to be. Our protagonist in this story has yet to do anything to redeem himself from being a spoiled little asshole in my opinion!

    Chapter 7

In another story currently posting on GA there is also a young teen's sexual advances being rebuffed by his intended partner and the plan being foiled by the intended's refusal to participate, but in that story the whole affair gets blown out of proportion and the one making the unwanted advances ends up being ostracized by all the adults and children alike resulting in the boy's being exiled to another country! I hope Cosmo is not going to receive a similar punishment from adults who've been made aware of the unwanted advances he's made towards another in an innocent attempt to broaden his card of sexual milestones reached at an early age. To some adults there can be no leeway granted to a confused child's actions in the realm of sexual exploration. I only hope that cooler heads prevail if any of this drama becomes made available to the adults in the story and no one takes it upon themselves to make an example out of Cosmo for his indiscretions of faulty judgement on his part towards appropriate sexual behavior. In this regard I don't want this innocent event to be under the purview of the elders of Revello and that this incident can be handled by the children in the story.
  4. I'm so glad that I take the time to read all the comments at the end of the chapters! Even though some of them are years out of date, none of them are ever stale or unnecessary, especially those comments from @Timothy M. both on his original read-through as well as his second pass by years later. I can understand why you chose him to be your beta reader as his insight is so astute and informative to the story! You're brilliant @Timothy M. and I'm always impressed with your overall intelligence, the above comment as an exceptional example. This added insight into Warren's mother's character not to have given him a pure silver cross if not for her need to impress her church with her (family's) piety is so true and not noticed by the casual reader. I'm especially impressed with your use (and proper use as well) of the word piety. It so clearly conveys in such a concise manner the depth of what you're pulling so effortlessly from the chapter upon your second time reading through the story. I hadn't heard the word piety in such a long time that I'd forgotten how apt a description is of the religious nut cases so prevalent today! I also appreciate and gain so much from @Headstall replies to his readers' comments that give me a much fuller understanding of the story. I, as a matter of rote, read all stories on GA twice (once on the original posting date for serial stories and then a second time re-reading the previous chapter to bring me up to date with the "live" posting that continues the story). I find that on the second time through I pick up so much of the nuance and skill intended by the author. And you, Gary, I find a treasure trove of insight when I read your work for the second time! I am always greatly impressed! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

    Chapter 2

Such a melancholy tranche of memories Marco dredged up in me as well! To go on living, hurt by the boy you love choosing another, especially when that other is a boy you also loved... Life can be a cruel teacher for one so young and sensitive. Thank you for bringing these deep-seated memories to the fore. It offers up a kind of cleansing.
  6. Yes indeed! This is one of my favorite stories of all time. Thanks for all you do!
  7. With the prospect of Warren being newly introduced to the pack and in light of his background, the risk that he presents to the shifters is a viable threat to their continued existence and should not be taken lightly. Keller knows this and is moving forward with due caution. I only wonder if K's healing abilities may be useful to help Warren become cured of his addiction? After all a severe drug habit is indeed a true and present health condition that could be helped along by using K's healing capacity on his brother Warren's body. I'm only saying that there could be some unexplored benefits to K's extraordinary powers!

    Chapter 2

On the second swing, he hit the ball over the centerfielder’s head. He quickly ran around the bases and crossed home plate before the fielder could retrieve the ball. All the guys rushed over and patted him on his back. I watched for a few more minutes before I jumped on my bike and sadly pedaled home. I don’t think Jerry was even aware I had left. Such a sad experience for a small gay boy like Phil when he introduces the new boy in town to his friends at the ball field and they all clamor to the new guy, ignoring Phil in the melee, causing him to feel rejected so that he rides his bike home alone. This is compounded by his past experience of being chosen last when they pick teams because he's small for his age and he may think it's because he's gay and he's being pushed away. The other boys are just so excited by the new kid's home run that they don't even notice that Phil has left, sending him the wrong message. Young boys can be so oblivious to the world around them when they're focused on one thing that takes all of their attention. Phil is suffering the consequences.

    Dumped

This story (my first) is so rich with snob that I can hardly stand this society you have got me into! Write on and satisfy this decadent urge I have to throw my tablet against the wall!

    Chapter 7

Your comments to self in the text seem both innocent and profound. We're following the lead character through exploration and discovery. I'm enjoying every minute of it and wait for his conscience to make another comment to itself. It's like the duality of self opening up before our eyes. Can't wait to see what he finds next!
  11. This last triple chapter really highlights why we all crow with happiness whenever @Headstall graces us with another story from the old west tales in his imagination. Bearpaw Mondays have been a staple to the start of countless joyful weeks of traveling back in time with Gary as our guide to navigate through a journey of the mind. We've grown by leaps and bounds into becoming better people for having read the ups and downs of this exceptional story! Thank you Gary for sharing your own personal challenges in a life we all envy. You're a great author!
  12. This series was truly unique! Couldn't have been better! Thank you.

    Chapter 3

Thank you @ReaderPaul!! If I believed in God I would say, "Thank God for that eighth grade boy who helped you!! His skill will NOT go unappreciated by us all in advance of your future chapter comments!"
  14. James Baxter

    Chapter 3

@ReaderPaul I've come across your comments in a large and diverse set of GA stories and they are always the most cogent and informed entries that they stand out and apart from all the other great readers' comments that I am so moved that I must ask, "Do you have a photographic memory?" In your comments are inevitably the most researched and complete details of the current story you're commenting on with frequent elements from past story titles by the same author that were posted many years ago and reminding me of events that have drifted away from my memory and are recalled by you with such ease and complexity that I cannot be the only one who is DAZZLED by your talent!!? Please help us all to understand -- were you one of the advanced students skipping ahead in all your classes that we (as your peers) just marvelled at your superhuman abilities wishing that we could recall just half of the details that come so easily to you? Please help us all out to better understand you! Do you remember everything that you read?

    Chapter 1

@Geron KeesKees Can't get that "Geron Kees" ampersand to clear off of my previous comment so I could write another after I have read the chapter so it will have to be a good place to start! I read every word that Geron writes so slow and carefully that it truly did take me a full hour to finish such a jam-packed chapter as this one and I couldn't come away from it more pleased than I am right now! It started out with such a clear description of my dream house that I can visualize it as if I were standing right out front in the yard looking up at it! Then that description is followed by a long tintalating (sp?) set of steps taken to lay plans for a knock down exciting Christmas party with all the greatest guests imaginable! This is going to be such a mind blowing event that I can hardly wait for new details to be posted in the coming days. Thanks @Geron Kees for making my Christmas snowey and bright! ("snowey" may be my imagination going haywire here in Huntington Beach but so be it).

    Chapter 1

What a wonderful thing to wake up and find on my computer; A NEW Charlie Boone adventure ready for me to take @Geron Kees imagination on a raucous journey for the Christmas holidays!! (I haven't even read it yet...I just got so excited that I needed to write a thank you note to announce how elated I am to get started on it right NOW!!)
  17. Thanks to @Altimexis for bringing these remarkable characters back to life! I love that you have continued their unique life journeys into the contemporary time frame. Always brilliant!!

    No Regrets

"What? Am I tickling you?” Hudson drawled. “I’m glad that you’re entertained, but I feel the need to tell you that being so close to your delectable naked ass is making my dick and balls hurt.” “Oh, no,” Otis expressed his concern right away. “What can we do for them to stop the hurting?” “You could start by telling me what made you giggle like a naughty boy.” Honesty was the only way forward, and Otis had read enough to know that it was absolutely necessary for a relationship to function as it should. So, he readily confessed, “I wanted to wiggle my butt and I thought of how I would look with a tail. A doggy’s tail.” Hudson surprised him by slapping his ass playfully. “Do you want a tail? I’ll get you one. But you will have to wiggle this sexy butt of yours for me properly once I do that.” “You make me feel so good. I will gladly wiggle my tail for you,” Otis promised. Hudson took a deep breath. “Promise me you’ll only be this forward with me. Only me, Otis.” Oh, if Hudson could only find the way to keep his treasure, Otis, to be his and only his for ever and ever!!

    No Regrets

"We should get you undressed, too. What do you say?” Hudson asked and teased his lips again, only biting them gently. “I should, of course,” Otis replied right away. His hands were uncoordinated and his moves clumsy as he removed his shirt and undershirt. Hudson helped him with the rest, and soon he was naked. Although he had been like this before in his neighbor’s company, now he felt even more naked than he had been before. How could it be possible, to feel yourself more than something you already were? I simply love Otis so much that it is utterly palpable! He is so honest and innocent and Laura gives him such a wonderful way with words. How could it be possible... Indeed! Could only be surmised by Otis.

    Chapter 19

I also see that I like your thinking @chris191070 !

    Chapter 19

OR Huntington was aware of Asa as a light shifter but simply didn't know that Caleb acquired the talent when he found his mate and was mated with him?
  22. James Baxter

    Chapter 19

Am I just having a brainfart or do I remember correctly that Kage (a shadow shifter) was once held captive in a room brightly lit from all directions to eliminate all shadows? I sometimes make things up and confuse a fantasy with a real memory! Does anyone else remember this room and how he freed himself?

    Chapter 18

To think there are still readers commenting at this point is mindblowing! And I thought I was a late comer... But noooo. There's still @Doha , @Darryl62 , @drpaladin , @Sherye Story Reader and other hangers on. I think I'll just wait right here where I am until Saturday comes along (at least I won't be waiting alone) Oh and @Doha , Great depiction of the dark room imprisoning Asa!! I think in that brief flash I even see him transforming through his Wolf status! Thanks to all of you for keeping me entertained!

    Chapter 4

A special thanks goes out to Gary @Headstall for bringing @Mancunian to my attention in a chapter comment to Bearpaw; An Old West Tale! That's how I found you, my illustrious author, by reading all the intelligent comments at the end of Gary's every chapter on GayAuthors fabulous website. I've now added @Mancunian to my extensive list of Followed Authors so I won't miss a posting of this exceptional Baxter Boys currently active story on the site. I fell totally off the trolley and am hopelessly in love with the brothers Michael and Charlie and can't wait to find out what lies in store for them and their generous rescuers Max, Stacy, Jeremy and Danny. I feel a special connection to them and their plight having once been homeless and on the streets in my younger years. It's impossible to convey how downtrodden and isolated one feels to be among the well-off who surround you but yourself having no place to go home to. It can totally break ones spirit if it goes on for a long period of time and I love seeing these guys able to go on after such a long period of misfortune. Their story illustrates how easy it is to fall into this desperate state and that it could happen to any one of us at any unforseen moment! These boys are so fortunate to have found themselves a refuge in this exceptional family of saviors. This tale is one that is seldom explored in fiction because so many think that no one wants to be reminded of this underbelly of our society. Thank you @Mancunian for shedding some light on this very bleak problem.
