Chapter 17: Destined Detectives
astone2292 commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 17: Destined Detectives
Now, now. Dirk said he doesn't go from first to third base right away. Let's see what happens in next week's episode. Give the straight boys some slack; they probably don't realize circle pegs can fit different branded circle holes.- 28 comments

Chapter 17: Destined Detectives
astone2292 commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 17: Destined Detectives
Oh it ain't bedtime just yet. They just had lunch (Dirk's second for the day). Maybe some "Hulu and Go Down on You..." Lots left to do in the next chapter! We still need to figure out if Dirk's shift will be a second Turning Day. -

Now that I think about it, my gay characters are pretty spread out. Ingle/Dirk make the second gay couple detailed in Owensville, Bartlett/Ashford are in the metropolitan next door, and Cy/Kap are back in New York. Unless I'm missing someone.- 28 comments

Chapter 17: Destined Detectives

Dirk's bear went away, and when he came back, he came back with sass! Just like most small towns across America, there's more gay people than you think...- 28 comments

More like 'once bitten, once shot.' No? Too dark? -
His mind flew at a million miles an hour. Dirk’s senses were overloading He could smell the disinfectant spray on the one-way mirror, see finer details in the drywall, and taste the remnants of his last sip of coffee. Then he smelt Ingle. The lycan was musky, but there was vanilla and honey hidden underneath. It was intoxicating. Just like— Mate! There was that too. My bear! You’re… You’re back? A growl permeated through his mind, then another erupted from his stomach. Dirk

PT Prompt #49 - A Hunter's Loss
astone2292 commented on astone2292's story chapter in PT Prompt #49 - A Hunter's Loss
Thanks Chris! I thought about shooting for a happy ending, but like Dakota said: "Nah." I haven't played with this type if perspective before this. It was a challenge, and I'll be doing it again. Playing banjo music in my head helped when writing this. I never thought of flipping the script from my usual writing. I think I'll go back to writing from the wolf's side. I was iffy about it, Patch. Didn't know if you'd be a fan of Dakota considering he gave up on Bill and chose his beliefs over his boyfriend's life. Thanks for commenting, everyone! -

My take on #49. A Hunter's Loss. https://gayauthors.org/story/astone2292/rocky-prompts-tennessee/9 -
Damn, there’s too many twigs! Poppa taught me good, but this here’s ridiculous. How the hell am I s’posed to sneak up on them monsters when I can’t walk? I’ll give it to ‘em; they sure are brave. This here’s hunter country. Every fifth house… Even ol’ Maville knows to tote her shotty in the back of her Caddy. Don’t make much sense neither. Figured they’d stay out of the warmer states. Their pelts won’t be worth nothin’ if the hairs are too thin. Oh, well! If these freaks wanna die sweatin’

Per the author's instruction, I've read this chapter with little detail to the story. Needless to say, I need to start from the beginning. One part of the ending stuck out to me. Dear God, Carlos! I will call you deranged if the loud radio was actually part of the plan. If Liebe wasn't in harm's way, I'd say interesting distraction. Please tell me this wasn't planned, and some jackwagon's gonna get his ass chewed for not using an earwig...

Thanks, Myr! Just don't pull me through my Chromebook again. (BTW, Caught in a Desert has a sequel in my prompts, if you haven't seen it. Thought you might like to know )- 36 comments

Silver, whirring orbs of death? I'm torn. On one hand, this reeks of Ases and Garjah plotting. On the other, I can see a faction of the rebels getting ticked off at our team of heroes having dinner with the enemy when they were promised reform. On the lower left hand (Get it? Four Arms?), I wouldn't put it past the Kardoval to pull a stunt like this. It would almost fool me. It's almost like a family Christmas; the auntie no one likes tries to do some special (slideshow of the past), everyone got bored, so to grab attention, the auntie breaks the glass china set yelling. "Why don't you love me?" On the lower right hand, I'm scratching my belly in confusion. Despite having twenty fingers, I can only point three of them.

Thanks, Dodger! I'm honestly having a blast with it all. It's a much better use of my time than sticking my nose in a video game 24/7. It does remind me I should get the next AAA ready for next month...- 36 comments

Oh, don't you worry. Aliz has one, maybe two more appearances left in the story. No more bald ladies after that, I promise. Well, at least until Zombies in the Shadows. When that comes around, I have no idea who's gonna show up. -
Just wait, he gets more adorkable.

You too? My boss is an old, old, old lady with a very high sense of manners and elegance. There are doilies in her office.

Bwahaha! I love it all! Every sentence and word made this comment beautiful. Lost it at the food budget... Hmm, Charcoal Bear. Cute nickname.
