  1. Vincent and I are very similar people. It takes one cross action for him to completely lose trust. Whether it will come back is another story. Now Andre's redemption is in Tasha's hands. Maybe Teddy should've been more thorough in examining the watchers. Pesky plotholes.
  2. I'll make sure y'all get a good dose of Lowe Gage Shotgun soon... Teddy's fun. I wish I thought of him back in the first book. Hmm... Wonder who's watching Wagner. We see Vincent showing a stern kindness. "Clean up your act, or I'll never respect you." A prideful mind like Lewis can see it Cas a chance for redemption. Oooooh! Suss on Mary Jo! I was not expecting this. I'm tossing this in my witch's pot of things to stir around.
  3. Published the chapter, but I discovered something fun along the way. The immediate option was to publish immediately via slide-button, which did not work. Upon childlike button pushing, I remembered I posted the unpublished story yesterday, which was when the date and time were set to (5/15 @6:00PM). Fun fact; you can't push the Publish button while you intend to publish immediately with a pre-dated date and time. More of a nuisance, and but yep. That's a thing too.
  4. He stared down Lewis. Vincent’s glare troubled Caleb, but he knew his friend would understand. This is more my challenge than his. “Caleb,” Vincent growled, “I can handle this.” “I don’t doubt that. It’s my right as your enforcer to defend your honor. He’s insulted you, and I won’t stand for it.” Lewis crossed his arms. His eyes never wavered. “Finally. I get to beat your ass for turning my daughter against me.” Snarling, Caleb clenched his fists. “You did that yourself, And
  5. No problem. Would it be all right to publish the chapter, or do you need it to remain as if for a bit?
  6. Found an issue with the new story publishing update. This chapter is unpublished with no set publishing date. According to a few messages I have with some of my readers, no one directly following the Death in the Shadows story received a notification, but the unpublished chapter appears in my profile activity. I'm unaware if profile followers got a notification, but regardless, the link properly leads to the "Sorry, page not found" destination.
  7. I've been playing heavily with Indoggo gin. It's a strange spirit; strawberry flavored gin. Goes perfect with pineapple juice and Sprite, or lemonade. Noah's been a bit busy, but I'm sure we'll hear from him eventually.

    Genre Fatigue

This could be a great rom-com! First thing I thought of (doesn't abide by "crush," went with "love") was one of the boys turning into their mom. "What? I love my mom, dude."

    Genre Fatigue

I love this article... rant... thing! I resonated with it. Just like @Mrsgnomie, I binged werecreature stories, and I did it so much, I started writing them. Seeing you mention how one can add a spin on a genre made me smile. I never mean to do it, but I always end up with reader comments claiming I'm doing something new to the genre. Ideas are aplenty. It just takes someone to act on it. I really love this. This encourages me to perfect my style and write the next story that'll popularize the next hit genre. It's high-time shapeshifter romances get a blockbuster movie! Wonderful article, @Comicality!
  10. I missed writing in this journal! After yesterday's insane day, I could wait to put in an entry, and I need to remember this thing exists. Don't worry, I won't tell a soul. 😉
  11. I mix the red velvet Bailey's with strawberry ice cream, or use it in milkshakes.
  12. We have a few people come for product to make extracts as well. I'm not sure why they would look at you in confusion over that; buying those three to me would be rather normal. Setting up a bar, or using the cheap stuff in loaded cocktails or punch bowls are my first thoughts. Mmmmmmm, Bailey's. I love their red velvet cream. I don't deal with ladies running around in the drive-through on a daily, but I do handle the bloodhounds multiple times a day. They're like kids who can go to the candy store by themselves. Their friend, Jimmy, tells them a tale about Hubba Bubba Salted Caramel chewing gum, and then RUSHES to the store. "Is it here? No? Well why not? My friend said it was here. Oh, well. I'll check back tomorrow." Do I deal with these crazy people on a daily? Yes, every kind I described in the entry. The dissatisfied couples, the hipster vikings, the people who can't Google White Russian recipes. It's something I've gotten used to when serving them a customer service smile. I hope it's not short term; I love my job. I did not expect for anyone to read this to their son. That's very funny! Glad you both had a great time reading!
  13. Well, dang! This thing’s as dusty as my blog. It’s going to take a whole Swiffer duster to clean this off. Unfortunately, I no longer get a discount on the duster refills. Hi! Aaron Stone here. Residential grocery store clerk extraordinaire. Nope. Not anymore! I blew that popsicle stand and found an even better place to call hell. For several years, I spent time as a bartender. It was the most fun I’ve ever had! My grocery employer knew this, so when they opened a wine and spir
  14. I absolutely adore them. One of these days when you register as a Poet on this site, I'd love to see a collection made of all your poems from story chapters. Just gather 'em all up, link the story (or story chapter), and we'll read them all. It would be a nice little project. We could see your work, and then go read the stories that inspired your humor, wonder, and excitement.
  15. I think Caleb thinks he can beat his father-by-bond's ass. Or does our favorite ailouros have something else up his sleeve? These poems are simply wonderful. It's rather touching to see the effort taken to form them, Philippe. Thank you. Being the curious one, is this a usual thing for the stories you read? If so, I'll be reading said stories just to read your poems.
  16. Oh, I knows yous peoples is smart. Y'all really keep me on my toes sometimes with your digging of the rabbit holes.
  17. CAT FIGHT! CAT FIGHT!
  18. I like Barbeau. I never meant to create him since I have plans for Dirk, but I think a little push might be useful. In other news... CAT FIGHT! CAT FIGHT! Thank you! I thought I plugged up all the holes in my Google Drive, but y'all keep tunneling! Why join the committee indeed. He might have something to bring to the table, like his own option for the summit. Or maybe he's passionate about finding a better location for his feline brethren. Or your right and wanted to get in Caleb's head. Which one? I won't tell... I based the whole trip on my experience in Arizona for my fraternity's national conference. We didn't have a fancy game, but my God the meetings and classes were boorish! The big meeting was a blend of droll and intense. Some of these guys were arguing their hearts out professionally! Just like Mason, I had no forkin' clue what they were talking about. CAT FIGHT! CAT FIGHT! Teehee! I just imagine Barbeau yelling at his former pupil to get his bear in shape. Go camping. Take a hike. $h!t in the woods like a real bear.
  19. I love a good back and forth! When the comedy is just right, the couple is perfect together. Vincent and his wolf will always be hilarious to me. Their relationship is just as special as Cyrus and his bear's. Hmm. Can Barbeau help Dirk? My plot notes are a wee-bit muddled. Probably because I added Barbeau without consulting my plot plans... #wingingit Caleb... Oh let's hope he knows what he's doing. Lewis sounds like he could use a big hole card. That butt plug he's got up there might not be making him happy enough...
  20. Caleb typed as fast as the speaker lectured. The second day’s workshops excited him, but he also dreaded them. Little B and Mace said they’re fine to be on their own, but with Lewis running around… He shook his head, clearing any negative notions. They’re right; they can handle themselves, at least until the challenge. Soaking in the lessons from Alpha Demers’ enforcer, Daniel Barbeau, the lion admired the man’s class. The ursus had several gray hairs in his beard, but Caleb knew the man w

    Chapter 90

Garjah says weapon. I see... Uh oh. Renovations while the bonded were away. Potential psychological warfare. First meal with Ases and Bouncer... or are those two still playing in the flower beds?

    Stay Humble

Oy vey. What a mess. Also, I hit the reaction cap for the day! Didn't know that was a thing, so I'll come back tomorrow and react to all of the comments. Edit: Yay! More reactions for the comments!
  23. It took every fiber of my willpower to hold in my cackle. Guarantee I would've woke my sleeping husband. These lines have @kbois all over them... The double standard talk was great. Loved it. A collab with both Mrs. G and kbois... I think it'd be hilarious for them to write an alternating-chapter story. They both agree to a story concept and genre, one writes the first chapter, then the other writes the next, so on and so forth. The chaos would be bonkers if it's anything like these comment sections.
  24. Despite the knee-jerk reaction, I'm very proud of Loren. He went back and apologized to make things right, as well as acted mother hen to Aiden in his time of need. 99 cents. Love it. Really surprised they didn't look for other games that didn't have silly microtransaction. When I visited my fraternity brother in WV, I finally had a reason to use my phone's kid-mode. I couldn't read GA, but was well worth not dealing with the 18 month-old vampire in the house (Bit me real good on the jugular and wouldn't let go).

    Aido Potato

Seeing Loren be instantly defensive about Aidan is disheartening, but completely understandable. Hopefully this interaction with our favorite tater loosens some strings against his disdain for kiddos.
