If that shop burns down...how will I order for the reading table?😂😂

Well...someone is definitely having a wild wild imagination😂

God!...that was a painful death for Amalie. Being starved to death has to be one of the worst ways to go!

It has been a pleasure seeing Billy grow up on the page. Am now curious is Billy based on someone you know?..I thought Henry was the best character in the series outside the big 5 (Hugo,Alec,Kate,Thomas and Sinjin)..but Billy is just so...good!. I had a feeling he was going to be fun reading when we encountered him in the previous chapter with Dottie..but this is just so epic! Thank you!

[Memory, October, Sophomore Year] – Visceral Reaction
Seraph28 commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in [Memory, October, Sophomore Year] – Visceral Reaction
There is that annoying phrase...' the heart wants what it wants'...in this case Alexander wants Lyn...wit ,cluelessness and occasional stupidity😂- 29 comments

I would lead the charge for suing you for 'letting us' down 😂😂

That ,I believe, is one of the most evasive yet zen comments have ever seen you make since started reading your stories😂😂😂😂....It is true ..no refuting that though

OMG!...indeed.....some of us have been waiting since that raft scene in Chapter 2😂😂

That was beautiful!...so moving!

Am going to sound blasphemous but has it ever really been the devil's fault?.😂😂...Good thing you answer it..Free will... Am wary about Kate too....you don't dangle something like that in front of an impulsive person like her and don't expect her not to take it

There sure is a whole lot of repair going on in Willow Creek in this chapter.. The town, porches, doors, people are all getting repaired in such a fundamental way!

I thought am the only one who had noticed that...I reckon he has known for a while. At least from the moment he and Cash kissed in that barn. Even @CasualWanderer82 subtly hints at it when he is writing Jackson's inner thoughts process when Cash and Jackson are kissing. The descriptive language he uses with that kiss..damn!..That was not just a kiss...It was The Kiss..that it still resonates with Jackson all these years later as we learn from Chapter 12. I think Cash knows his depth of love for Jackson..How else would he let the boy he loves go with another man. He knows deep down that Jackson needs to leave Willow Creek to discover himself. I believe Chapter 11(Deal) is showing us the depth of Cash's love for Jackson. He is letting Jackson go so that he can 'bloom' like Daisy Bell had told him to..That is a love without conditions for me. Blake..does not know how to be loved. He seeks to 'possess' Jackson. You can see how he continues to address Jackson as boy even though they are partners. The foundation of their relationship was built on the unrelenting passion and desire they elicited in each other from the moment they met..Maybe I have forgotten and need to re-read but each of their private moments, present day excluded, were spent in bed. That does not leave room for getting to really know each other. My thoughts is that they got drawn to each other because they were the new thing to each other granted the desire and the sex was off charts😂

And us loving him in return for it😂.. You mentioned Billy a few chapters back...now am all restlessly waiting to see what you do with him

If the previous chapter was a transition of Jackson....This is one is about the transition of Willow Creek. We encounter a Willow Creek that has transformed from a bleak place, a place where survival is a chore to a place that is teeming with hope, empathy and interconnectedness. We not reading about a place ,we are witnessing the evolution of Willow Creek as a character of its own.We are left all the better for it. I feel like nothing more can be said about Daisy Bell...she embodies the 'Be the change ,you want the world to be' mantra.. She is literally the spark that starts the fire of transformation in Willow Creek. I dare to say that Willow Creek.benefits from her presence in that place😂. The relationship of Levi and Weston is something else .Levi has been there with Weston at his lowest and it is good to see these two beautiful young men find each other. I wanted so badly to have Weston find someone who would truly see and value him. The second MVP of this chapter for me is our Cash Dalton. Oh my!..The character growth on display here warrants a case study. Cash has grown from an angry stoic lad to a calm fella. Not to mention a decent carpenter. This is a man who is sure of his place and revels in it. He has learnt to control his impulses and anger and in the process becomes someone the community can rely on. This was splendid chapter @CasualWanderer82...Looking forward to more. By the way ,been fixin' to get me a reading table ,how do you rate my chances of getting a decent one from Door and Light Carpentry ?😂😂

I had to put my thoughts in order before I commented .To me this chapter is about transition.A rite of passage, a coming of age so to speak. We are given a front seat to Jackson's blooming. We get to see him grow from a restless young lad we meet in Willow Creek to the self assured and assertive force of nature we meet in this chapter. I could not help but feel as though was re-watching A Star is Born movie as was reading this. The dynamics of Jackson and Blake's relationship mirroring that of Ally and Jackson from the aforementioned movie. Jackson's star is on ascendency while Blake's is cratering...I like to believe for someone like Blake who is used to being in control and the center of attention that must have been a little disconcerting. That brings me back to the transition was talking about. I think Blake did not account for the fact that things would change. That the lad he took from Willow Creek would evolve and grow into the Jackson we encounter here. It is been a really good read for me to see his transformation . That coupling between Evan and Blake is a revelation on its own. I tried to imagine how the Jackson in Willow Creek would have reacted. The Jackson here is in full control ...part of the coupling and yet out of it. he directs it but does not participate ..Sort of like a music conductor. Thank you @CasualWanderer82....This was a doozy of a chapter!

Do I get a reward for my patent then?😂

And boy do we have really active risque imaginations😂

I have a feeling he is starting to stir awake....that part where he asked Alexander what happens after?.and wonders of Alexander would still be around. That was untold fear on his part though he is still cowardly at the moment to state it.

Finally our Arthur has been rescued..it will take time for him to heal from this ordeal.
-
That's what I thought too

Oh God!...oh no!..this is bad. ..I knew this was coming. I mean you have a disclaimer at the top of each chapter but nothing prepared me for this... Aaron is just the worst...He did not just rape Arthur once ...he did worse. He broke him...and I fear he is going to blackmail him into sex with that video that was made of his rape. I cannot wait to see Justice come for those monsters...
