What a shitty life Blake endured growing up. It's pathetic kids are treated that way. I agree with @austinbiguy - you definitely outdid yourself on this one -his mysterious demeanor reveals his guarded upbringing and the will to survive. He is worthy of love and has a good heart. He's just got to realize that Jackson is worth the risk and Lord have mercy on him if he hurts Daisy's pride & joy! -

My eyes sure were watering during that scene between Daisy & Blake. Daisy loves her Jackson with ferocity and knew he'd been struggling with who he is and even though she had to be disappointed she did what a fiercely protective mom should do - give Blake a good ol' talking-to! Yay, another great chapter from my @Krista! And thanks for the early release of the last one! At least Joel impressed Colt and I kinda figured Trace would instantly know Joel didn't hit a rock. Joel has to know his 2 worlds will collide more as there really isn't that big of a distance between his old town and new one. I'm curious as to why his baseball coach hasn't visited his old house. Can't wait for more!

I feel for Nick and glad he sought help. As if the teen years aren't hard enough to navigate, he's had significant emotional trauma that he's not dealt with - which again as an angsty teen is weird since your emotional development is happening and you don't realize certain feelings are having an impact on your overall health.

Glad that Simon arranged the cafe meeting to clear the air. I too thought that Eli was referring to Rowan as the "he" who died. Interesting to see if that's who it was or if that's too obvious?

First of all, you could never let me down. I enjoy your talent too much. I agree the nuanced interactions helped guide it along. Regardless of how the pace may seem, you're doing a great job of letting the story breathe.

I love this story more with each new chapter! I think Noah is just horny and has had experience and wants to have that bond with Nick but at the same time he's too controlling and everyone sees through his facade. Nick needs to talk to Mr. G in confidence about the abuse Jack endures although he probably knows about some or all of it, or to his mother. Looking forward to what happens next!

Great chapter! I cried during the coming out scene - probably because I've been struggling with accepting my sexuality for way too long and am deciding when to come out to my family. But anyway, thoroughly enjoying the story!

Great chapter! My heart aches for Joel. Love Trace & Celia - whatever the future holds for Joel, I could see them being a source of guidance and support for him. Interesting to see how the dynamic with Gavin/Davin/Colt fleshes out and where Joel decides to attend school.
