  1. I like the fact that you're only going to post one story per day. When you post the anthologies, there are so many interesting stories that I dive in and keep reading until I finish them all, and I put all my other work on the back burner. This will make it so I'm not tempted to do that this time. @Cia Thank you for all of your hard work in putting this together. I'm sure there will be many fascinating stories to captivate us.
  2. wainage refers to 1) the produce derived from agriculture, 2) an area of cultivated land and the implements used to cultivate the land, and 3) the vehicles used in the transportation of agriculture. Obsolete meanings are 1) grainage, and 2) the team and implements of husbandry.

As per my comment to @weinerdog, you may have hit the nail on the head.

    Chapter 26 S2

Weinerdog, were you having trouble with the quote function? Maybe you'd being drinking your way around wherever you happened to be at the time?

    Chapter 26 S2

Acturally, Ben was put in an awkward position, sharing a room with a gay couple, but instead of making an issue of it, he decided to take advantage of the situation. He wasn't willing to reciprocate yet, but who knows what might happen on a future vacation. Yes, the situation caused some tension between Mac and Devin, but hopefully they'll work through it. You're not the only one who has mentioned how commercialized those places are getting. It's kind of taking the joy out of going there and experiencing it, like it used to be. There are still the rides, however. And if you drank your way around the world, I hope you had a designated driver or sober pilot to take you wherever you were going afterward.

    Chapter 26 S2

Yes, Mac is around for a lot of the things that happen with Devin's family, but then again, Mac's family also includes Devin on their vacation plans and the two families celebrate Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, and the Fourth of July together as well. Yes, Mac was definitely hesitant to do things with Ben, and he also draws a line when it comes to certain things, so if Devin's is smart he won't try to entice Mac by transitioning into Ben or someone who looks remarkably like him.
  8. A witan was the king's council in Anglo-Saxon government of England between the 7th and 11th centuries. It was comprised of of important noblemen, including ealdormen, thegns, and bishops, and the meetings of the witan were sometimes called the 'witenagemot'.
  9. There seems to be a slight disagreement on how to pronounce 'witenagemot'.

That particular Disney attraction is only offered on a limited, and very selective basis. Yes, I'm sure he'll be sitting in a classroom or lying in bed at night and reliving his vacation for a while to come. Did I spell that correctly? How about: Cousin Oral Benefit (COB job)?

    Chapter 26 S2

Yes, this vacation had many benefits, and no matter what you call them, I believe everyone involved had a great time. Will they be able to arrange a combined family vacation in the future?
  12. Bill W

    Chapter 26 S2

Yes, I'd say that was an accurate statement. He blasted off a couple of times, and not just on the rides, and he obviusly had a blast with Devin and Mac. Are there future vacations in mind?

    Hmmm. An interesting idea.

No, that's not possible, because then that would make you close to my age.

    Chapter 26 S2

I'll see if I can arrange the adoption papers.

Yes, it's important to remain alert on this thread.

    Chapter 26 S2

Yes, I believe most of the readers were expecting this and Ben didn't let them down.

    Chapter 26 S2

Yes, Ben doesn't appear to be totally straight. And I knew some of you would comment on the rides you'd enjoyed if you'd gone to Disney World in the past.

    Chapter 26 S2

Of course. Isn't that every straight guy's dream?
  20. Chapter 26 – An Interesting Disney Vacation Tuesday started out the same as the day before. My mom called our room to make sure we were up, and then we all went down to have breakfast together. Katy was sitting with my parents at one table and the three of us sat together at another table. At one point during the meal, Katy asked a question. “Which park are we going to today?” “This time we’ll be going to Disney’s Hollywood Studios,” Dad replied. “Ok,” and then she ta
  21. Wroth is considered an old-fashioned way to say 'irate' or 'infuriated'.
  22. Wroth comes from the Old English word 'wrao' (angry, tomented, twisted) It may have then come from Middle English words wraththe or wreththe anger, fury, rage, animosity, hostility, deadly sin of wrath)
  23. Sure they did. They knew about Africa, since they had to sail around it to get to the East Indies. They just had a limited viewpoint where that was concerned.
  24. Quote: "It appears that I'm back in the here and now." That's debatable.
  25. John Faed (1820-1902) painted "The Wappenshaw: A Shooting Match" and it became his most important work. It was displayed at the Royal Scottish Academy in 1863 and The Royal Academy in London in 1866.
