Thank you, and now I feel foolish for not figuring that out.

Maybe yes and maybe no. You'll just have to keep reading in order to find out.

It sounds as if you had something the rest of us can only hope for.

Is there a link to the first story or am I missing something? Using my calculations, if there are 11 stories starting today and ending on July 14, then we should be reading a story today in order to read all 11 stories by the 14th.

Jim, I'm glad you're enjoying this story, but I'm thrilled that it's helped to rekindle some precious memories for you. Please accept my belated condolences on the passing of your husband and I hope his memory continues to live on for you throughout the upcoming chapters.

No, the boys didn't talk this over with Barry, since his parents will have no way to contact him or his grandfather once the boys leave. Unless something happens to Mac on the trip to or from the reservation or while they are there, his parents will be none the wiser. Yes, even though bowling isn't nearly as popular as it once was, there are still some bowling alleys around. I'm glad your friend is there to explain things to you. 😅

Yes, Terry, it's going to happen soon and Mac only used what deception was necessary to get his parents to agree. As you pointed out, there will also be no way his parents can track him down, so if everything goes well, he'll return home as the newest good skinwalker.

Yes, I agree with you, because I've taken a trip through that area as well, but you must remember that this is only a cover story to explain while they won't be home during the summer. It's not something they're actually going to do or any place they'll actually visit.

Chapter 18 – Spring Break. Grandpa Isaac called Devin on Tuesday to fill us in about the final details of our upcoming trip to the reservation. “The shaman called me back earlier and I found out when we’ll have to leave and approximately how long we’ll be there,” he began, and then he gave us the details. “Thanks, at least now I know exactly what to tell my parents about how long I’ll be away.” Now that I had this information, Devin and I each packed a duffle bag with

Anthon, I'm glad you're interested in this story and looking forward to the possibilities that still lie ahead. Devin's ability offers him many advantages that the rest of us don't have and Mac seems to be able to cope with Devin's numerous abilities. There is much yet to come and still be revealed, so I hope you continue to enjoy this little tale.

Lurid, an excellent choice of words to describe certain parts of the stories posted on Gay Authors - you know, those lurid sex scenes.

Did she really think she'd get the inheritance by burying her dad in the garden and setting the house on fire while her mother was sleeping? That's what it said in her diary - foolish girl. I hope I didn't spoil the story for those of you that were planning on reading it.

Very interesting, Val. I had this album when it came out and I'm ashamed to say that I never noticed that comment in the upper left-hand corner before. I wonder if it was Simon or Garfunkel that came up with it.

And it's not just the banks you can peculate from. A few people working in the accounting departments of businesses have also found ways to peculate from their employers as well. I even heard a story about a department manager in a large grocery store collaborating with a supplier to pad delivery records and then split the ill gotten gains. Some people will go to extremes to peculate from their employers.

I'm sorry, Al, I misunderstood your suggestion. I was thinking you meant working with one of the summer programs that colleges and Universities sometimes offer to high school and younger students, possibly as a counsellor. However, I think you will soon discover that they have other plans for the upcoming summer.

soporific - Word of the Day - Thu Jun 29, 2023

Too many of my college professor's lectures were soporific! -
Babies, as well as the elderly that have an incontinence problem, may become victims of diaper rash and chafing if their diapers are not changed frequently.

That's true, Tony, but I've found that the less accepting and closed off the parents are, the more devious their children will be.

Danilo, you've brought up many points, so let me try to address them for you. Yes, Isaac located the shaman, so how is that going to work into the story. Is it merely an interesting coincidence, or will it play a major role? Devin could have definitely been injured by the knife and those wounds would have been on his body when he transitioned back. It's merely like putting on a suit, but unless it's a suit of armor, the injuries will remain and blood will be spilled. Could he merely use his ability to erase the injury? We'll have to wait and see if that is addressed at some point. Is there something that can block the ability to transition, similar to a device that can block radio/phone transmissions? That's something else that hasn't been addressed yet, so we'll have to wait to see if that does come up, and if it does, what the answer is. Yes, when it comes to using a person's word against them, it's a two way street. Children can do it against their parents, and vice versa, the parent can use the child's words against them. I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter and challenged its hidden meaning. 😈

Yes, who knows what the summer has in store for the boys, and I told you Mac would eventually fight back and get even with Devin when he had enough. 😎

Concave lenses are also used in binoculars, telescopes, and cameras to create the image. Convex lenses are used in microscopes, magnifying glasses, and they are also used in cameras to focus light.

The terms concave (has at least one surface that curves inward) and convex (has at least one surface that curves outward) are most commonly used to describe lenses and mirrors. Concave lenses are used to correct nearsightedness, while lenses that are convex are used to correct farsightedness

Yes, that's always the risk when you don't tell the truth. It's hard enough for one person to keep his story straight, but when multiple people become involved, the risk of screwing up rises exponentially.

Yes, that's why I kept my comment non-specific about who might be involved.
