Chapter 49 – Highly Irregular Celebrations
Bill W commented on Bill W's story chapter in Chapter 49 – Highly Irregular Celebrations
Thanks, Wesley, and a Zoom wedding would be much cheaper, since you don't have to pay for the reception afterward. I'm glad you stuck with me to the end and thank you for your support. -
Chapter 49 – Highly Irregular Celebrations

Yes, Danilo, COVID-19 accounted for the reason for all the weird birthdays and weddings. It was the only way to keep the family safe. I assume that Elliot and Ian have rented a place somewhere so they can enjoy this time together, while Holly probably remained with her mom's friend, where she had been living while attending college. As of this point, I can't promise a book 5, but if there is one it won't happen for quite a while. The Curries have just about caught up to our timeline, so I could start writing, but right now it would just be a repetition of of the past few chapters, due to the pandemic. I'd rather start a new book once everyone has the vaccine and the world returns to normal, which won't be for many months to come. Thank you for your continued support. -

The next morning, Dad, Dion, and I sat down with the boys to talk to them about an upcoming event. “Next Wednesday is Danny’s, birthday,” began Dad, “so we’re going to sit down with you boys in groups and let you order something for your dad or uncle online. We’ll have it sent directly to the house they’re staying at.” “Do you know his new address?” asked Benny. “Yes, I had your other dad give it to me.” “Will it get there in time for his birthday?” followed Tristan. “Ye- 25 comments

Chapter 48 – A Time of Uncertainty
Bill W commented on Bill W's story chapter in Chapter 48 – A Time of Uncertainty
Tony, thanks for the feedback, and as I just told James, if there is another book it won't be for a while, so it won't be a Christmas present - at least not this year. If I pick the story up, it won't be until well after the pandemic ends and I'll probably start with Danny and Kevin's pharmacy's role in helping to distribute the vaccine. If that is the starting point, you can see it won't be for a while, and then I'll need to let some time pass to see how things go after that, so please don't hold your breath. I'm also not planning for anything to happen to the Curries, but I won't rule out people they know or work with, because with the number of deaths from COVID they must know others who were affected. Thanks for your continued support, and I hope this isn't letting the cat out of the bag, but there's only one more chapter to go. That will be my Christmas gift to all of you - getting the Currie family safely through another year. -

Thanks, James, and I'm sorry to hear how the pandemic has effected you and my condolences on the death of your uncle. 2020 has been rough on a lot of people - it's effected my friends and family as well. I pray things improve in 2021 with the vaccines and hopefully with people taking more responsibility for keeping themselves and others safe. If there is another book, it won't be for a while, because until the pandemic is over I'm afraid I'd just be repeating myself with what's going on in the story. If I'm still around when this thing ends, because I'm no spring chicken and I don't want to try to guess what the future holds, I may continue the story. I've always worked major factors into the story, and the Curries haven't dealt with COVID-19 for now, so it will probably be a while before anything new appears, except for the final chapter. Until then, I want everyone else to stay safe and healthy. Follow the guidelines as best you can, and maybe you'll be reunited with the Curries again somewhere down the road. -

Jrm, thank you for your feedback and kind words. Cole and Dustin have now added to the extended Currie clan while evoking memories of events from the past. That's easy to do, since there are so many of them. Danny, Brandon, and Jake are sacrificing a lot to keep the family safe, and no matter how difficult it is for them or how lonely it might be, they will persevere for as long as it takes to keep everyone safe. They will keep in contact using the Internet and that will have to suffice for now. Frankie's wedding plans are up in the air as well, just as Ricky's is dealing with a similar situation, but Josh will help them work out an acceptable option, whether it's to have a small ceremony now and another for the family later, or something else. The college students are returning home, but they will have to isolate at a motel first, but whatever it takes to keep the rest of the family safe. This book is nearly over, so I hope you enjoy how it ends. -

I attempted to put down the facts necessary without getting into the more macabre details. I'm certain that witnessing those things will stick with you for quite a while. -

Yes, that was a very scary time and hopefully it will soon be just a distant memory. I'm glad that everything worked out for the mothers and their new offspring, and I hope they have a long, healthy, and happy life together. -

COVID-19 is wreaking havoc everywhere - the Castaway fantasy world and real life - and the solutions aren't simple. The Currie house is large and the boys have their brothers and cousins to play with and can utilize the tree house to get away from the other. The house is large, so that will help, and with Danny, Brandon, and Jake coming up with their own solution it lessens the crowding and the threat. The family will deal with the college kids and integrate them back into the family eventually, as long as classes are on hold. I agree, I don't know how people with families living in small apartments manage, but hopefully there will be an end to this situation soon. I hope everyone of the GA family is keeping safe and we'll make our way through this, one way or another. -

The next couple of weeks were fairly uneventful, although Danny was keeping a close eye on the potential pandemic situation. In fact, one night he asked to speak with Dion and me after the boys went to bed. “I know the virus hasn’t reached this area yet, but it’s bound to get here eventually, since international flights are continually landing in New York City and Philadelphia,” he began. “I’m worried, because they say people with underlying medical conditions and those over 65 are most at- 14 comments

Chapter 47 – Special Celebrations
Bill W commented on Bill W's story chapter in Chapter 47 – Special Celebrations
Thanks, Tony, and you may be surprised with the ways the family will choose to stay safe. You stay safe as well, along with the rest of the GA family, and I wish you all a very Merry Christmas, a Happy Hanukkah, or a Happy Kwanzaa, whichever one you celebrate. -

Yes, it was great that Joshie and Benny agreed to watch the younger kids while their dads and granddads went out to celebrate Valentines Day. It was vastly different from past Valentines Days, so I apologize if anyone was looking for a more 'inclusive' party. -

Chapter 47 – Special Celebrations

Joshie and Benny are doing well with their new freedom and some of the events do bring back memories of past events. Don't forget, Danny sees Jessie nearly every day at work and Josh keeps in touch with him by phone, but kids that age spend a lot of time with friends, but Jesse always comes home for the holidays. COVID-19 is going to change that now, but I'm confident they'll be able to handle it. -

When we finally got to the weekend, we were able to relax a little due to the fact that the trials were now behind us. We waited for Danny and Brandon to get home from work so we could eat lunch together. After we finished, we asked Joshie and Benny to stay behind as the rest of the boys went to watch cartoons in the family room. “What’s up?” asked Joshie. “We just want to ask you two for a favor. csr December CSR Triple Feature: Holiday Sprinkles
Bill W commented on Cia's blog entry in Gay Authors News
I have recently added another Christmas story - I'll Be Home for Christmas. Length: 2,359 Description: It’s 2020 and people are struggling with how they will be able to spend Christmas with their families, due to the pandemic. Tony and his partner, Jeremy, have devised a way they can safely spend Christmas with Jeremy’s family, but will everyone be happy with it? One reader said: Anyone who can honestly say that they didn't feel their heartstrings being pulled, or the need to reach for kleenex (facial tissue) while reading this wonderful short story, check your blood pressure and heart because something ain't working. Thank you for your kind words and I agree with you. The country has come a long way, but recent events have shown that the struggle is not over yet. I hope my story might have a small impact on moving forward.

Jrm, I don't mind at all that you shared that and I'm glad that you did. Maybe it will give others an idea about how they can still have a family Christmas without having to do it in person. Thank you for your well wishes and may you and your family have a safe and Merry Christmas, along with all of the members of the GA family. By the way, although I was planning to change the last stanza, my editor Emoe57 helped me come up with that wording. -

Yes, it's pandemic time and all of the problems that brings. As far as the sentences, you know that the justice system doesn't always do the things we would prefer. Thanks for the feedback. -

Yes, justice has been served, and with the severity of the punishments I don't anyone will pick on Tamara or anyone else again. The Curries are ready to deal with the pandemic, but with a doctor in the family they will have a heads up and definitely follow the appropriate guidelines. -

Why don't you wait and see how they handle it first. You may find out they're handling it differently than you hear about on the news.
