  1. I just noticed my 'Achievements' for the first time and felt as if I was back in the Scouts and earning my merit badges.
  2. You're very welcome, and I feel as if I should send you a box of tissues, since I've caused you to use so many while reading my various stories.
  3. Wayne, I will miss you greatly and you will be forever in my heart. Rest in peace, my friend.
  4. Thanks for the support, Tony, and I'm glad you enjoyed this.
  5. Thanks, Aditus. I'm glad you enjoyed it and that it got you dreaming as well.
  6. I have to admit that the vacations were similar to vacations I took with my family when I was younger, so it's not like I invented the idea. Thank you for your kind words about the story and I'm glad you're enjoying it. You are at the beginning of a long journey with this story, so I hope you continue to enjoy it.
  7. Yes, Danilo, dreams sometimes do come true. Isn't that what the fairy tales we adored as children (Cinderella, Snow White, and Pinocchio) taught us. Don't ever give up hope that your dreams may come true.
  8. I'll leave that interpretation up to you, the reader, but I'm glad you enjoyed it.
  9. You're very welcome, Paul. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
  10. This isn't a big problem, but it's something I thought you would like to know about. On my Anthology story, A Chance Encounter, under the Likes section it lists 'three names + 4 others', but then in the list there are only five names. Two of the first three names listed don't appear in the column of who likes the story. Just thought you might want to fix that problem, if the same thing happens for other stories as well.
  11. As I was walking into Best Buy, I couldn’t remember why I was there. As far as I could remember, I didn’t need to purchase anything and had no reason to browse the store’s inventory either, so what made me drive here and come inside the building? As I was contemplating this dilemma, I heard a voice behind me. “Can I help you with anything?” The voice was sweet and melodic, and when I turned around I spotted one of the store’s employees standing behind me. He had ebony hair, brown
  12. Grant makes a visit to Best Buy and encounters someone who has the possibility of changing and improving his life. The only question is, will it work out? This is an entry for 2021 Anthology #1, alternative topic: But Wait; There's More
  13. Thankyou, bundu, and I'm glad you enjoyed this trilogy. I have to admit that I'm unfamiliar with Wilbur Smith's Egypt series, but I appreciate the favorable comparison of Beraut with his character. Thanks again for your feedback.
  14. Thank you. I'm glad you enjoy my adventures into the paranormal.
  15. That's true, but the Empire State Building, the Sears Tower, and CN Tower aren't fond of having people jump from those structures. I'm not sure about the Grand Canyon.
  16. I've seen news reports of houses flooding from bursting pipes, ice cicles hanging from a ceiling fan, and ceilings falling down from the burst pipes on the floor above. It's awful. I hope you can find somewhere safe to go for now.
  17. Does anyone know how our Texas GA members are doing? I know we have several from there and I'm curious as to how they are making out and if there is anything we can do for them. If you know of anything we can do, please let us know.

    Chapter 1

Thank you, and the research was very exhaustive. This is another short story that I wrote for one of the anthologies.

    Hidden Agenda

Thank you. It was written for one of the anthologies, and I guess I had a moment where I saw the worst possible outcome. Unfortunately, we went through it later.
  20. Thanks, Doug. I thought it might give the readers a little chuckle and be a different take from what they were expecting for the theme 'Nature's Wrath'.
  21. Thanks, Doug, and I hope I didn't put you too far behind schedule or deprive you of sleep.
  22. Thanks, Doug. I'm glad you're enjoying this story, although I hope it's not costing you any sleep. lol
  23. My name is Marcus Whaley and I’ve been a fourth-grade teacher at the same school for about twenty years. I’d just taken my class down to the cafeteria so they could eat lunch and then I returned to my classroom to get ready for the afternoon session. After my students finished eating, they would go outside for recess, which is the time when they are able to enjoy a momentary change of pace from their studies. After recess, I would be allowing them to put on their Halloween costumes for our pa
  24. My name is Colin Thurlow and I just finished attending an IT conference in Jacksonville, Florida. Elated that it was over, I hurried back to the room I’d been staying in, packed up my belongings, and checked out of the hotel. I was eager to get back to my husband, Corey, and our home in Atlanta. Shortly after I entered Georgia on I-95, I began experiencing trouble with my car. It wasn’t accelerating properly and often just jerked along. I could also feel the engine uncharacteristically
  25. Thank you. This is the first story I wrote and I composed it shortly after the Matthew Shepard incident. I hope others read this story and learn from it - that bad things are still happening to the LGBTQ community.
