    Pooh discovered the word "honey" can have more than one meaning. those practice lips can be use for more than just to practice kissing, and a multi-purpose plunger for the bathroom. Holiday shopping has never been so much fun!

    Some grandmothers preferred other millifleur items as well, such as millifleur curtains or wallpaper. However, just like with eating too much candy, too much of a good thing can be bad.

    If memory serves me correctly, the meme Myr used for this is from the 1980s Apple commercial loosely based on the novel 1984.

    Isn't that rather big of the English. If they could rule other countries, then why shouldn't one of those citizens have a chance to play a significant part in the British government. Jolly good.

    Yes, they were, but their language was mostly affected by the conquest by the Normans and the Anglo-Saxons, although they used some Latin as well.

    That's most likely due to the fact that French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, and Romanian all evolved from Latin, since those areas were all part of the Roman Empire. English is basically a Germanic language, but it has adapted many words from other languages over time.

    Right now I'm stymied in disbelief that it was once a rule of golf. That must have led to some interesting golf rounds.

    It could have gone either way. Ricky was always the prankster, but then the brothers started getting even with him and Elliot took it to the next level, even though he's Ricky's nephew.

    Thank you for your feedback and kind words. I believe it's important to do as much as you can for those who are down on their luck at any time of year, but it's especially true at Christmas. Maybe that's why every year at Christmas I watch two or three movie versions of the movie A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, because Scrooge finally comes to learn that he needs to do, and should have been doing, for his fellow man. I wish you and yours a blessed Christmas and New Year as well.

    I wonder, since this word comes from the Latin, if the Romans used this term to point out the good and positive qualities of their wives, or if it was a derogatory term used to point out the lesser qualities, such as a nagging wife.
