As I told you when I first read it, it was a tough circumstance, and subject, that you handled extremely well. It could have gone a lot of different ways, but I'll give you two thumbs-up for a job well done.

A very enjoyable read, Andy. Seeing I'm getting up in years, I hope when the Angel of Death comes for me that it's someone cute like that, because then I'll go willingly. If the Angel is like the Darker version everyone else uses, I'll probably fight him tooth and nail. Great job and I really enjoyed this.

I'm liking Louisville. I've always thought Rick Pitino was an awesome coach, from his early days in the Big East until now. He always seems to have his teams prepared for the big games.

Thank you for the feedback and I'm glad you enjoyed this story. As I told KC, I didn't go into the initial relationship because this was a short story and the 'Night to Remember' had to do with their treasure find, not finding each other.

KC, I see you've gotten more in touch with your feminine side. Nicely done. This had particular relevance to me, because I had relatives who were deaf. They could often feel the vibrations from the music and receive a certain amount of enjoyment from it, but with the advent of computers and such, it's neat how deaf people can also view the colors of a musical piece as well. Another wonderful story.

Thanks for the feedback, KC, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. I agree, some properties do seem to have a 'will' of their own. I hate to say this, but one house I was very familiar with seemed to have a negative energy, in that everyone who owned it went backrupt within ten years of purchasing the propertyand this went back over one hundred years. As far as the relationship, I didn't go into more detail because I'm often told I get too involved and too words, so seeing this was a short story, I stuck to the plot line instead.

Thanks, Slytherin. It's amazing what a few old treasure can bring in. I was surprised myself when I researched the value of some old coins, but I've seen news reports where people found treasure like that in garage sales or in Good Will stores, although those usually were in art.

Like many others, I had never heard of flarf poetry and had to research the term. One thing I didn't have to look up, however, was the feelings that your poem evoked. The sadness, loneliness and even a touch of desperation were fairly evident. A touching entry. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, RJ, and I did have fun writing this story. This dialect was just a positive side-effect of my moving to the south several years ago and it's fun to try to represent the drawl I often hear still used in the area.

Thank you, Percy, and I did want them to seem like two hard-working, decent fellows who fell on some bad luck. I think we all wish we could find something like that, maybe it's the reason stories of pirate treasure are so intriguing as well.

Wayne, it worked out well that this Anthology was posted so close to St. Patrick's day, because it played into my theme. I wonder how much treasure might be hidden down here - maybe I'll have to get a metal detector and start looking. hehehe
