    I was going to say, everything in moderation, but as WL pointed out, some of the greatest authors have also been heavy drinkers. I'm not saying they were drinking or drunk when they wrote, but maybe it had to do with perspective. Also, some of their stories may have originated from the alcohol produce hallucinations. lol

    Although I was somewhat familiar with those 'senses,' I just never thought of them as such. It makes sense though. Although I agree with Ashi that empathy is important, and I wish some people had more of it, I'm not sure that would be considered a sense. Otherwise, we'd have to include sympathy and other feelings.

    A true genius and enormous wit. Robin will be sorely missed. His roles varied, both on the big screen and the little screen, and surprisingly some of his most memorable roles are the dramatic ones he did. I loved him as Mork and everything that followed. RIP, Robin.

    Awww. The Old Man of the Mountain in New Hampshire and now this. Are we going to lose all of these natural wonders?

    W_L, there seems to be some cultural differences here, if you see a problem and he doesn't. Maybe you have to show him, but do it nicely. What I mean by this is start asking him to do things you want to do, even though it may not be his cup of tea. If he refuses and suggests something he likes instead, then you state firmly that you're not interested in doing that. After a few times of wanting to move in different directions, he'll probably get the hint that this isn't going to work out. When he does, you can both agree to break it off amicably. I hope that helps.

    A lot of Spanish ships sunk in the Caribbean and around Florida for various reason, storms (shuch as hurricanes), battles and even pirates. In addition to those wrecks, addtional vessels from later periods that traveled from teh West Coast through the Panama Canal were also lost, so there's a great of gold and silver lying hidden beneath the ocean floor. If only the oceans were receeding, making it easier to get to, but unfortunately it's headed in the other direction. Maybe oover time a portion of it may be found, but most of it will remain there forever.

    Suddenly images of Morlocks, the underground creatures from H. G. Wells story "The Time Machine," comes to mind. Will we now see them emerging from these holes and attacking the local inhabitants? A scary thought, indeed.

    Although it was a long time ago, my family wasn't the accepting type, so I never told them. I was afraid of a violent reaction, since similar situations happened when they reacted to other things they didn't approve of. Therefore, I hid the truth from them until the day they died. I truly hope none of you have to go through a similar situation.
