  1. Congrats Trevor. I proved my initial statement when I got involved in this. I don't follow hockey, but gave it a try. I figured if the woman in the office can win the March Madness pool, I might have a chance - NOT. lol
  2. Happy Birthday, V.
  3. Happy Birthday, Q.
  4. Happy Birthday, Pat.
  5. Happy Birthday, Frosty.
  6. I'm not sure why you were rooting against them, but to each their own.
  7. Every relationship has it's ups and down, accompanied by a few heartaches along the way. I'm glad you seem to be enjoying this story though and hope you approve of the way it ends.
  8. After tonight, I think it will be either Philip or Skylar, but my money is on Philip will be leaving.
  9. I'm a little older than most of you, but for me it was 'The Lord of the Flies." That's what taught me that we're all capable of turning into savages and helped me deal others who were torturing their own 'Piggy.' Bullying isn't a new phenomena and when you didn't have a girlfriend or show that kind of interest, you quickly became a target, but that book helped me to ralize that I wasn't alone or the only one the creeps were focusing on.
  10. Here's a little different perspective from Chris Burke at Sports Illustrated. http://nfl.si.com/2012/04/29/2012-nfl-draft-grades/?xid=si_nfl
  11. Y_B, I'm not sure what your problem is with the show, but I think this year has had the most talent of any so far. I think Joshua is the top too, with Jessica and Philip rounding out the top three.
  12. Well Elise and Hollie were the bottom two tonight and Elise was the one to go. I think Hollie may be next, unless she pulls a rabbit out of the hat.
  13. I know it goes in the books as a perfect game, but I have to question that final called third strike. It certainly didn't look to me as if the batter went, and I watched it several times trying to see if he'd swung. Calls are part of the game, and I'm glad for Hunter, but it's too bad such an accomplishment would end with a question mark.
  14. Yes, Dave. I agree. I figured Jessica, Joshua and Colton would be in the finals, but now that Colton is gone, I fiugred maybe Philip would replace him, but I was sure Hollie and Elise would be gone by now.
  15. Denver should be tough, if Peyton stays healthy, but I'll be cheering on the Giants and Falcons.
  16. What a great lady and fantastic coach. It's very sad to see her go out this way, especially afeer having watched a couple of relatives suffer with Alzheimers. .
  17. He was a true humanitarian and had changed very little over the years, including his looks. He will be greatly missed and is an indelible part of both both youth and subsequent years.
  18. The bigots are trying to force us back into the closet, so they can pretend we don't exist. They think sexuality is a choice, one that can be corrected, so they are tyring to scare as many as possible into 'rehabilitating' themselves and then silencing the rest, by any means possible. Thus tactuc was tried with the blacks after the Civil War, as the KKK and other groups tried to harrass them into submissive roles, but the black community persevered and so should we. The LGBT community cannot let the narrowminded minority intimidate us into giving up our rights or being who we are. Face them as proud human beings, but always remain alert for that handful that will try to go one step further, if they think they can get away with it.
  19. That was very interesting, but I'd rather have seen the pictures side by side, so I could look at the differences.
  20. I wonder how many guys will quit wrestling after seeing that, because they figure people will now think they're gay? LOL
  21. Although I am a very spiritual person and believe in God, I have little use for organized religion. I find that most religious leaders are like snake oil salesmen who will sell you any load of crap, as long as it benefits them. When I see the way some of these people live, in mansions and with expensive cars and such, and then think of the words in the scriptures, 'that it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God,' then I know that they don't truly believe what they're preaching. With the exception of Billy Graham and MLK Jr., I don't rmember many other spiritual leaders who didn't use their faith to promote their own agenda, not that of God. Unfortunately, people buy into this, and it can be any religion doing this, and your mother obviously finds personal solace in these beliefs. In that vein, there is little you can do to change her, so it's best if you just distance yourself from it before it gets any worse.
  22. Porky looked as if he'd been placed on a diet. If he gets any skinnier, they'll have to change his name.
  23. I hadn't read the books, hadn't even heard about them until the movie came out, but I did go to see it. I wish they had offered a little more background in the beginning, because some of that was confusing. I would have liked to have known more about the districts, that the competition was done in a holographic stadium and the competition was rigged, and the reason they kept telling them they needed sponsors. Until the first parachute, when Katness was injured, I had no idea why they were so important, unless this took place around the where the sponsors were and they'd get directly involved.

  25. Very powerful and everyone should read it. It's amazing how people can consider themselves Christian and yet have so much hate. During the time Jesus lived, homosexuality was well know - let's face it, it was part of the Roman Empire - yet Jesus never made a single comment about it. Doesn't this tell you something? If he never felt it was worth a mention, then why do so many supposed Christians get so upset about it?
