    Hey, it's part of the game. Who will be the next actor to play Superman, Batman or James Bond. Actors come and go, it's the roles they play that live on.

    Data will play chess and be able to take care of mundane duties, but will he more like Lore than Data? Will he and others of his kind rebel, like the cyborgs on Battlestar Galactica and do more harm than good? As sci-fi writers have shown, this can be a very slippery slope. All that aside though, we already have robots doing the jobs that men used to do, this just takes it to the next level, where they can think for themselves.

    The more the merrier. The thing that got me, however, is that his family and friends were so supportive. If only everyone could enjoy that same type of support.

    If the reversal of the sun's poles takes place approximately every 11 years, I've already lived through this a few times and don't expect this occurence to be any worse than any of the previous events. As far as the earth's magnetic poles, the location of magnetic north does drift around slightly, but a complete reversal between the earth's poles could prove devastating.

    No matter how long you wait, there will always be something better. It just that the changes come faster and faster all the time. The doubling of knowledge is happening at an ever faster speed, so if you opt to wait for something better, you'll never buy anything.

    Trust me, even if I were desperate to hook up, I don't think expensive underwear would make the difference. Other than bragging rights or to use as a status symbol of how successful you are, what's the point?

    I believe that was one of the reasons GA was started and why many of us started writing, to help others avoid the same mistakes we had made. I'm glad to see that others, including yourself, have benefitted in the process. As others pick up the mantle and keep this going, who knows how many others we may help.

    Just eighty years ago, this was the stuff of science fiction that you might see in a movie serial at your local theater. What will we find eighty years from now, if any of us are still around?

    Can you imagine some alien race encountering one of these in deep space? Is Commander Data far behind? They mention an interesting use for these would be as a companion for an elderly person living alone. You don't have to visit your aged parent to keep them company, just buy them this robot as a companion. Is this what our society is coming to?

    Although they've found the genetic Adam and Eve, it does little to support the Biblical idea, since they didn't exist close to each other and probably never met. That means there were others around too and their offspring eventually met up and reproduced, thus proving they were genetically more viable and sustainable. It also means that racial differences can indicate racial superiority/inferiority, since we all have the same ancestors.

    A dishonorable discharge can be a kiss of death with future employers, if they find out about it. It doesn't always turn up in a background check, unless you are applying for a job that requires a security clearance, but that would definitely limit those types of employment. It could be even worse than having a criminal record.

    The OED is redefining the term 'marriage' so it no longer only defines the legal joining of a man and a woman and will now be the legal joining of two persons.

    I can definitely see why this was ban. The problem is, I can't imagine anyone in their right mind who thought someone would actually air this.

    When I was younger, I would play any sport I could whenever the possibility arose. The only think I don't do is in the water, because I'm a sinker, not a swimmer. When it comes to watching sports, I enjoy almost all sports, although I can't stand NASCAR. I think my favorites to watch is college basketball, college football and any youth sports or high school sports. I enjoy watching the younger groups compete for the fun of playing the sport, rather than the big salaries.

    I love Big Band music. Glenn Miller, Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey, Benny Goodman... it puts me in such a great mood.

    I guess he misunderstood the old saying, 'put your best FOOT forward.' Not only didn't he paint a positive image of himself in the letter, instead of using words to make himself look good, he decided to use photos. What a huge mistake. Sad yet funny at the same time.

    You need to find the older, treasure laden ships sunk in storms. The others are great for archeologists, but not enough to pay for such an expedition.

    I wonder how seriously Whole Foods took his letter? He made a lot of good points, although some were a bit out there, so I wonder if they'll address the valid points or just ignore it all as the rantings of a disgruntled employee?
