  1. Thanks, Andy. Yes, not everything goes smoothly, as is the case with life.
  2. Yes, happy birthday, but don't expect any breaks in 'the last post wins.' lol
  3. Ok. I did it.
  4. Yes, Josh's influence is quite obvious and Ricky will always be a kid at heart.
  5. It wasn't quite what I was expecting, but after he went to all that trouble, how could you say no??? LOL Best wishes to the happy couple.
  6. I would like to pass along to everyone at GA a very heartfelt wish for a very happy and prosperous New Year. May 2012 be much better than 2011.
  7. Deatths of Osama bin Laden and Whacky Gadhafi Troops coming home from Iraq Occupy Wall Street Movement Repeal of Don't Ask, Con't Tell
  8. It's terrible when someone is born when a fatal disease. My family carries the cystic fibrosis gene and I've lost several members of the family at very young ages. I'm just surprised watching how well they deal with the situation, knowing their time on earth is very limited.
  9. I find this an interesting concept, since the blood of animals slaughtered for food could be used to save human lives, but does this open Pandora's box to the possibility of infecting humans with diseases unique to or more commonly found in animals? That might give us some pause before jumping on the bandwagon.
  10. Andy, I'm glad you approved of the ending and I'm sorry for the tears. I'm also glad you're friend was one of the lucky ones.
  11. Yes, it wouldn't have fit in with the theme of this story, so I'm glad you approve.
  12. Yes, Andy, I've appreciated your comments and I'm sure others have too. We'd also love to see what you have to post as well.
  13. Thanks again, Andy. I'm glad you're enjoying this story.
  14. Thanks, Andy. I'm glad you're enjoying this story. You also must like a lot of stories, if you'd used up your like button already.
  15. Yes, Andy, Ricky is a little imp. I think he also turns out to be just about everyone's favorite character.
  16. Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah and a Prosperous New Year to All!
  17. Trevor, you don't know Kramer? What a shame! I won't give the gripe you're probably all expecting. Instead, my biggest gripe is that I probably won't be able to join those of you going to this east coast get together.
  18. Yes, it's too bad the real world doesn't seem to want to embrace diversity. Thanks.
  19. Although it had crossed my mind to have Josh pass on, as a way of ending the series, I opted not to do that. As far as Cody and Brent, they were never at the Hotel at the same time. Brent was first, when the Curries picked him up hitchhiking on their way back from Baltimore. His parents had thrown him out after they were unable to change his orientation. He died in a traffic accident while on vacation with a friend. Cody's mother was a hooker who died of AIDS and he never knew who his father was. He had been in the foster care system, but was being bullied by the other kids. Sally brought him to the house, unannounced, but he seemed to fit in. He died of a form of leukemia, but they tried, unsuccessfully, to locate his father before that happened. I just thought the trip down memory lane with the 'spirits' of those who had passed was a nice way to wrap things up. Of course, we couldn't completely end the series without a prank from Ricky. I'm glad you enjoyed it and I hope everyone else did as well.
  20. How about a world free of politicians and narrow-minded people?
  21. Thanks for your support, Andy. First of all, the bi's could have taken care of the repopulation thing, along with a little artificial insemination. Second, there would have definitely been no hiding your sexual orientation without the cure. lol
  22. Thank you and I appreciate your support.
  23. CJ, thank you for all your help and support.
  24. Yes, it's unfortunate that if they do actually find any genetic or biological difference in gays it might also become a weapon to use against them. The new Dr. Mengele???
  25. For me, this was quite different than what I'm accustomed to, but I enjoyed it. I also wonder about the camps - will they help or become a prison? History has proved that most of these camps are publicized as one thing, but then turn out to be another.
