    To Friendship!

Hello again, Chris. Thank you for the comment and thank you for following this story. I hope you enjoy the ride.
  4. Monday I enter the Saguaro Grill and stand at the reception dais. The young man tending bar looks up, then quickly rounds the bar, flashing me a warm smile as he approaches. That and his handsome Latino features immediately draw my attention. “A table for one?” he asks. I notice from the nameplate on his breast that his name is Chris. I look around. It’s late afternoon, approaching early evening and business is light. While I had planned to eat at a table in the restaurant, I immedia
  5. Chris is a nineteen-year-old community college student and part-time bartender who lives at home with his parents. Callan is a 23-year-old post-graduate student living on his own, 1,200 miles from where he grew up, who discovers while working on his Ph.D. that he has become an inspiration for the younger Chris. Both are aspiring musicians. The story begins as Callan seats himself at the bar at the Saguaro Grill where Chris works, and before the evening ends Chris has offered to help him land a gig as the Grill’s musical entertainment a couple of nights a week, an arrangement that works out well for both of them.

    Blockade

Good news, Ian! Based upon the things that happened (and were going to happen) in this chapter, Oliver is not straight. In fact, I doubt that he is even bi-sexual.
  7. Well, I would never have expected it to be Stephanie, although it worked out for her because she got what she’s been wanting—at Robbie’s expense. I have to laugh at his descriptions of what she had to offer, though. “I sank into her like a lead weight in quicksand. She was hot, wet, and roomy and nothing like Nathan’s snug corridor. At times, it was like making love to a shopping bag, and I fell out more than once to groans of disappointment, but my flagpole never faltered.” Romantic, isn’t it. 🥴 Thanks, Dodger, for another very entertaining chapter. Where does it go from here?

    Fast Play

Hm… the kinder side of Chip. I wonder how long it’ll last. While I don’t think he’s using Seth, it is out of character for him. Something’s brewing 😉 .

    Fish

…while Chip shot him an interested, but cold look. He’s not done with Seth yet.

    Buy-in

Hm… I wonder how taut the string will become before it snaps and the one who doesn’t win ends up on his back on the floor? Or is it the bed?

    Heads Up

I think that Seth is too cocksure of himself to realize who’s in the driver seat. He’s practically salivating at the sight of Chip.

    Kicker

"I can beat you." I think that’s evidenced by the fact that Seth is in Chip’s cabin at the requested hour.

    Button

Maybe Chip just wants a late night, one-on-one game of poker, which, of course, Seth should deny him.

    Bad Bishop Part 2

Good chapter, Chessdude. I wasn’t expecting this kind of intimacy yet. I haven’t seen the bad bishop in this part. I see the rook and queen on the same file, though. What could happen next? Thanks.
  15. There goes that idea! The author should know.

    Ante

As long as youth piques his fancy, the high maintenance of youth comes with it. But Seth loves it. It’s just another form of game for him. Interesting start, AusGlitterati.
  17. I think @wildone is right. It’s Sue. Or it’s Don. It makes sense that the horrible weather would prevent their going to Toronto. Now let’s see what, if anything, happens to Nicola when they discover that she took off and left Robbie in charge of Amy so she could go out and get laid. Of course Don will find a reason to blame Robbie. Another good chapter, Dodger, and a great place for a cliffhanger.

    Chapter 10

Thank you, BabyXander. Your comment makes my day. I’m working on another story now. Actually, I’m doing some major edits to make it more substantive.

    Chapter 4

    Thank you, Marty.

    Chapter 2

I agree, Marty, but I use it to distinguish who is speaking as sometimes it can be confusing. Of course, at my age I’m probably easily confused anyway. Thanks for reading and commenting.
  21. Nice chapter, Gabriel. Although Brian admitted that he was sad that Jonah was giving him his space, I don’t sense that he has deep feelings for the guy. And Jonah hasn’t expressed those kinds of feelings for Brian, so I guess what they have is a relationship of convenience. Brian recognizes it as a problem but is too conflicted to stop it, and Jonah is just living in the moment, more dependent on Brian than anything else. Thus, I have no idea what to expect in the next chapter.

    Chapter 1

I think carl is a confused young man so I’m guessing that he’s 13, 14 at the most. Thanks, Phil.
  23. Arran

    Chapter 2

So I wonder if this is an intimate sleepover or a three-way. Carl is a risk taker. He’s fortunate that it worked out for him. Thanks, Phil.
  24. Arran

    Chapter 3

Guilt is my guess, as well as embarrassment and fear of himself and reprisal from Carl. My guess is they are young teens (13 or 14). Phil, it takes a day or two to get it through review. When your community reputation reaches 250 they’re supposed to go through more quickly; however, mine took a little more than that. Hopefully chapter 4 won’t be much longer.

    Chapter 10

Well said, Talo. I’m judging by the tenor of the story Milo that you’re in the relationship stage.
