Oh my god D: This was an uncomfortable read. I love the juxtaposition of the sweetness of the beginning with the brutality of the other scenes. They were visceral -- bloody, gutsy, gritty -- and I loved it. I did however think some of the scenes were a tad too short and it made this chapter feel like a bit of a disjointed read, however, I have to say your prose and your masterful way of dealing with dramatic tension is one of a kind! Wonderful stuff Louis.

Wonderful beginning Louis! What I was most impressed with was the very beginning of this piece, then the dialogue punctuation kinda got in the way. But seriously, the beginning running scene was simply amazing. I felt so lost within the story that I was running there with him. Amazing job.

I read the first line and I was instantly transported into the story. Your writing is sharp and to-the-point, without being too detailed or too lacking in detail, and what a finely written story this was! I've always been told that a "good writer is also a good editor," and you've just reinforced that notion I loved the tension you created in the story and the perpetual frenetic sense of impending doom. I didn't know whether the brothers were going to get up and kill each other at many points throughout the story -- and I found the ending very exciting! I would have loved to have learned even more about the backgrounds of the brothers but I thought you achieved quite a lot already in such a short piece. Great work again, Louis. I'll definitely be revisiting your other stories sometime!
