Exactly!!! this is totally right... Like kevin said, everyone has their opinion. that is also true when it comes to finding a type of story you like yes, in the points that Nick raised on that website, I'll agree with some of them, but I won't blame an author that will use those because it's all a question of taste. That's why I don't really approve stuff like 'hey young writers, probies, here a list of what not to do'. Why? because every writing style is just as good as the other. The only difference is that there some 'style' that might be appreciated by more people than other 'style'. That doesn't make it any less valuable in term of literary. There is no good taste nor bad taste actually. And, actually, I think that you simply can't condemn anything. You can say that you *personally* don't *think* this story is enjoyable for this or that reason. Everything that is well written, (meaning that hasn't grammatical mistakes every other words) has as much literary value as anything else. No one knows enough to say that story is crap. All you can say is that, you didn't like it.

I don't really think that harsh critics makes part of my writing any better. Or at least it depends on what they're talking about. If they're pointing out a mistake or something that's not coherent, that's helping. asking for something that you'd want to see more in upcoming chapter (like more description of this or that, having more detail revealed for a character) that's fine and helpful as the author will realize that he might not have explained something as well as he thought he had and might have to address to it. What makes our writing better is writing... the more that you will write, the more you will be confidant about how you write, and you will improve yourself. When it's someone that will simply tells you what parts annoys him/her... well I feel for that someone but that won't make me change what I've written or what I will in the future. My opinion on that matter are based on my personal beliefs mainly, and how they are view and reported in the medias, written and not. I don't have to have assisted to one of those, (or participated to one of those) to know how it is perceived by the general public. Just like I know that I wouldn't get close to one.

exactly, I personally don't understand why many people here are so harsh on Helen. I mean, she's not horrible, she doesn't abuse on the boys, she treats them as her kids! She's good at what she do and it certainly helped Instinct to be where they are now and they will still need someone like her to oversee them, to clean up their mess.

Alright, if chapter 37 can be considered a cliffhanger ending as it ended in the middle of the action where the plane could have crash or shot down at anytime. Chapter 40, that's not a cliffhanger, the guy is dead! Instinct is not under fire anymore and no one of the good guys are injured enough that we fear to their life. Therefore, that's not a cliffhanger

Yeah, they would be in hot water, but why would a neighbor, someone out hunting would fire at the house (the bikers were between the house and the shooter) after he was told to drop his weapon. Why didn't he answered when he got summoned. That's why I don't think it's the general or law enforcement, nor a simple kind neighbor.

I'm sure that it's a very wise choice. They woulda been thrilled to be featured in a story published on GA.

For this one I'm really decided, I have never and I will never, ever, ever, participate nor assist to a gay pride parade. I think it's totally stupid and is hurting the gays. why? Cause we need to show the public, we need to get the support of the straights and all to have the gay cause advance. The way I see it, it's not by showing gay people dressing in really obscene stuff that can help making 'us' accepted by the population. We need to show them that we're just like any other people, and that by such we deserve the same and equal rights. Doing parades the way they are now show even more that we're different, it marginalize the gays. The only way I can think it can help us, is that it shows those teens (and not so teens) that are questioning about themselves that they are not alone. But then again, many things, other than parades, can achieve the same thing.

This is a good question, Indeed, it was made look that Mario and Dimitri didn't brought their guns with them and only have weapon knife. But, to go along with dimitri's plan b, they would have to have a gun. Therefore there's nothing that says that they didn't go back to the car and get them. I really don't think that it's the general or one of the air force base crew because, it would be unlikely that they'd try to sneak in and he wouldn't be alone that way. yes, they might have the fire power with them, after being summoned to drop his weapon, he would have said something and not just fire at will at the house. I really don't think it's a biker, cause it's been said that it wasn't one of them, and they would have known if it was. It's been said that Mario was more used to prepare hits, than Dimitri... But on the other hand Dimitri was ex KGB or something, so he's not totally clueless in those situation. Still, my choice,,,, either someone that we don't know, or Dimitri. That was far from an admission, he just said that with shadowgod cliffies, you should have a higher limit then that for calling cliffhangers.

Yes, I did go to my prom, but I actually didn't stay that long,,, painfully stayed for the dinner, it wasn't boring, I had a good table, it's just that well I don't do that good with the kind of high priced food that there's usually at prom I left just a little after the dance floor really opened it was around midnight... Only two of my friends did go to the prom. I went there by myself, and I wouldn't have minded not to have went to my prom, but then again, I don't really regret to have gone to it.

Often when I'll be reading/write some story, I'll be on my laptop, sitting on the couch in front of the tv, and have some tv show on DVD in the back ground (just to make some 'friendly' noise in the background and to have something to look at when I need a break),,, talk about multi-tasking,,, But other time when I'll be reading in my room I'll also be listening to music (simply my ipod on shuffle). In both case, when I'll get to part that needs more of my attention the noise will get just too aggressing and I'll turn it off. Heck, I've also been known to write stories alone in my room with a movie going on on my other puter

It could be, but I don't see any of them get shot and die from it. If they do get shot, it would be only injured. It would be even more ironic if it would come from a friendly fire

And luck is on their side since it's a high grader... About Jerry/the Scar, something tells me that he either got someone that finance him and to respond to, or he's working for someone else. Tho, I can be wrong. For sure, he's not completely who he seems to be, and he will keep on surprising us
