  1. A not too sad chapter this time. Folks are getting used to being on the island. The Batchmeiers are almost useless. Milan may last the longest in that family.
  2. I don’t think I’ve ever used this many sad emojis on any story. A little foreshadowing of upcoming sadness more than a cliffhanger, I’d say.
  3. Definitely noticed the style change, Ryan is not only telling the story, he’s specifically telling it to us with his little asides. Scary to think that at this point only 8 of the 40 or so survivors make it to the end, or at least until when he started writing.

    Chapter 2: Kai

It sounds like the plane broke apart off the front of the plane isn’t easy to spot. Yeah, it does sound like Kai’s grandfather didn’t make it. Ryan might just have acquired a temporary little brother.
  5. Late to the party, but I saw today’s update and thought I’d start reading this one. Hopefully, the more recent chapters come closer together. Guess I’ll find out soon. Great start btw!
  6. Thanks. It does get quite a bit more ghostly. I mean, Russell’s only had 4 lines so far.
  7. We’ll have to wait and see, I suppose. I do have a list of other ideas, but few thrill me. So anything is possible I suppose. My two other musically based stories were well received, so I guess there’s a good chance this one outlives its ghost.
  8. I guess I’ll wait until it’s completely posted before considering a sequel, but like I just answered Joseph, sequels are kind of my thing. The next one is a spin-off rather than a proper sequel. I think I’ve already mentioned it, spinning off from the Clinton Boys series. Thanks on the best. I’m apparently like s fine wine, getting better with age. At least until I turn to vinegar, heehee
  9. Welcome aboard. I’m glad you’re liking it. I do try to come up with new ideas all the time. Although I probably am one of the current kings of the sequel.
  10. Fabian drove home on a high that could never be achieved with drugs. Not that he would know what a drug-induced high was anyway. He’d never touched the stuff. He was perplexed about the voice he heard. That was a new one for him. He only had one nearly unbelievable explanation. Russell haunted the guitar. When he put his head on the pillow that night, he heard it again. “Goodnight, Fabian.” It took him a long time to fall asleep. It wasn’t just the guitar. **************
  11. Jimmy Page, another one of the guitar greats and Martin Barre, underrated in my mind. I did have Aqualung on The Swarm’s playlist in Don’t Blame The Band.
  12. If it wasn’t unusual it would probably be boring. I think Deep Purple would be more his speed than Purple Rain.
  13. Thanks, I’m glad you’re liking it.
  14. Not your typical rocker. Off stage, of course.
  15. Doubly glad I didn’t choose Monica.
  16. True. I just thought trying to copy Tony would be a pretty good challenge. It wasn’t needed anyway.
  17. Granted. You have 48 hours of groan-free posts. Only applicable in my stories though. You’ll have to bargain with other authors for a blanket pass. So that’s 3 hours beyond my next posting.
  18. Not sure, but he’s definitely decomposing now. I know…. Groan. But you’ll have to wait to find out about that.
  19. Hadn’t thought of that, but I’m big on alliteration. BB King named his guitars Lucille, so maybe that’s a hint.
  20. Yeah, today’s younger generation, what can we do with them? Thanks.
  21. Could be. Maybe I faked you all out by starting off with Fabian and it’ll be Donte that wins!
  22. Fabian arrived at The Grape in Philadelphia at 8:30, as usual for a Tuesday night. The Slacker Crew was in the middle of a ten-week Tuesday and Thursday gig there. As they were setting up, Fabian broke the news. “Hey guys, and Jan, I have something to tell you all.” Ernesto Edwards, the bass player, answered for the rest, “Fire away, man.” “So, you guys know Stars and Slackers have been searching for a replacement for Russell, right?” Keyboardist, Jan Walker responded, “Yeah,
  23. I don't know. Would I get in trouble with the moderators if I lied about using the "no sex" tag?
  24. Quoting myself, how gauche. The blog mentioned above can be found here: https://gayauthors.org/forums/topic/49950-ga-survivors-support/
  25. Thanks @Sherye Story Reader for the idea as a comment in “Are Choices Even Real?” She said: We all that are depressed, should stay in a group, the kind of group that don't really want to die, but thinks about it a lot for a long time cause depression makes you think about it! It is a disease and I think when you do find the right one who helps you then that is the medicine that cures it! Let's call it I Don't Want To Die Group. I thought a more positive title might be better, hence the GA Survivors Support blog. For anybody that has read enough of my work, you’ll know that music is important to me. There’s one verse from a song that fits the purpose of this blog. It comes from one of my favorite songs. Favorite is relative for me, somewhere in my top 100: Slade - My Oh My You've got troubles of your own No need to face them all alone We can all swing together, my oh my So let's all pull together, my oh my Yeah, let's all pull together, my oh my We can ride the stormy weather If we all get out and try So let's all pull together, my oh my Converse to that, there’s a line in another song that I disagree with: Scorpions - Humanity Nothing can change us No one can save us from ourselves Together, we can save each other from ourselves. So, here is a place to vent your depression, frustration, whatever. I truly hope this can foster a positive environment for anyone that needs it. If things go south, I’ll have to delete or close this. Let’s not go there. I’m not tagging anyone else here, if you just want to “listen” you can do that. I’ll be posting a link to this in the comments of the aforementioned story. Everybody is welcome to contribute, but in the immortal words of Woody the cowboy from Toy Story, “So Play Nice!”
