  1. Easy, corporate greed.
  2. I worked in a supermarket for over 7 years, from high school to real job. I think the worst story I have is when I was in produce, one manager was a lush. One Sunday morning, he literally fell out of his car, stumbled into the store, and then fell asleep on a pallet of potatoes. Me and the other part-timer working had to set up the department without his help. A few of the anecdotes in my “Grocery Store Fantasies” series were actually true, too.
  3. We’ll see. The well has been dry lately. I think the latest “Weekly Wrap Up” is the first one since I joined GA without my name mentioned.

    Chapter 45 S3

It might be too late, but my wife and I had memorial candles made for parents, etc. They're unobtrusive and allow for a presence without being over the top, or tremendously obvious.

    Chapter 45 S3

A nice, calm, but busy chapter. The boys packed a lot into the short time between Devin's arrival and the wedding.
  6. Only for the bad guys. Unless of course someone dies at the beginning of the story.

    Moving Forward

You're welcome. Thanks for taking the time to comment. Yes, there are people from all over the world here, it's always good to hear where they are from.
  8. Yep, no gay symptoms in this one. One hint at teenage experimentation, but that’s it.
  9. Ditto. I’m only somewhere around a hour away.
  10. Three of my own, one step-son. All grown. None flew while they were young enough to fit in a suitcase or pet carrier. But, no, I wouldn’t do that. But if I had a screaming two-year-old in front of me, I would have wished their parents did.
  11. Great story. Now we wait for book 2 ‘The Son That Left: Sam’s Story.’ I’ll spoil the ending, Sam ends up dead in a ditch after being hit by three cars, all one right after another.
  12. Really! They’re small enough to shove in a suitcase and check them. I’m kidding, I’m kidding. Maybe.

    Fore!

Thanks. Not something I know a lot about, but I do know how to screw up a round.
  14. Things are moving right along. If there weren't open items, I might have thought "The End" would follow the last sentence. But I'm waiting for Sam to a) die a horrible death, b) show back up and get arrested, or c) win the lottery and pay everything back. Oh, that was a prioritized list. I see 0.00001% chance of c happening. Is that enough zeroes?

    Thanks, and you're welcome.

Thanks. I could probably do a whole series with those two. I used George and Pat when I first started out. Then I realized Addison would fit as the bad golfer.

Thanks. I was expecting mildly humorous. Hilarious is great!

Not a golfer here. Played a par 3 once. Score would have been bad on a standard course.

    Very true.
  20. “Are you still going to take me to the par three course today, Stanley?” “Yes, but we’ll each hit a bucket of balls at the driving range there first, Addison.” “Do you think I need more practice?” Stanley answered, “Yeah.” He left out his additional thought, ‘There aren’t enough buckets in the world for all the practice you need.’ Stanley was not the greatest golfer in the world, but he could hit the ball short, but pretty straight, 19 times out of 20. Most of his shots at th
  21. A hopefully humorous look at places a golfball may wind up that wouldn’t be fun for the golfballs. Once again we visit with Stanley and Addison. Addison appears to be as bad at golf as he was with duct tape.

    Chapter 44 S3

    That works too. Thanks Gladys.
