Very emotional and touchy. Thank you! On October 11 this year we have commemorated 15 years since my dad died. It was unexpected and fast. He died of heart attack. He was 57.

Very complex story, covering many levels. One level is growing up in family with toxic relations. Despotic father and indifferent mother. Family without love, just rules. Suffocating, small-town dynamics. Insecurities of the main protagonist due to his parents' behavior. Other Level is Julian's work and relationship with his boss and colleagues. He, shockingly, recognizes the prejudices he has toward his boss and finds a connection to his mother's behavior. Author approaches polyamory in this story very realistically. As in monogamy, love and good sex are not enough for one household to exists. There are many practical rules, logistics, decision making process to organize if they want this kind of relationship to work. There are a few words repeating during the story like a mantra - An open, honest communication... It's the key to success Julian has found - in communication with his mother, his boss and his partners...

It's so sad that Carter is never going to meet his real mother. Of course, he met Elena, but as acquaintance, not as a woman who gave birth to him. If there is something good that came out of this misery is Jeremy's love confession to Carter. I'm wondering, now that Elena is dead, how the true is going to be discovered?!

A hint of jealousy in this chapter shows that Ralph and Nolan are slowly developing feelings for each other. It's very important they have good communication.

I swim, 5 days a week, 1800m-2000m per hour. It keeps me fit and sane. I've tried gym, I really did, but I find it so boring... 🤪 Anyway, lifting weights and my diverticulitis are not going well together.

I've been to hospital to visit a friend. Well, not just any friend...he was my first man, over 35 years ago... Nevertheless, he has pneumonia, some water in lungs, heavy breathing. Doctors are still doing diagnostics, giving just assumptions - it could be anything - Asthma or even tumor. Next week we'll know more, I'm hoping for the best.

Writing this Review, I'm still wondering, how did I miss this amazing story by @Ronyx? Angry and rebellious teenage boy Casey is sent out of his home to his father who left them years ago. But what is hidden behind Casey's problematic face and why is relationship between Casey and his mother so estranged? Chapter by chapter, we discover what's bothering our young protagonist. His new life, in his father's house, with new family, in new school brings many challenges. Casey develops one of the most beautiful bromances on GA with Lane who is, once again, one of the most beautiful @Ronyx's characters! Retarded, runt, a shame for his older brothers...Lane is, actually, good and innocent boy living in other's shadow! Amazing human being who befriends Casey in new home and becomes his 'little brother' and 'the best friend'. Lane brings out of Casey his real, noble personality and Casey brings out of Lane all of his hidden potential. New Casey influences his new family and surrounding, but his road to the moment when he could hear 'the song of birds' again is full of challenges. You'll laugh, cry...you'll be happy, sad and angry! And you'll fall in love with this story as many others did!

Seems like Carter is in some sort of denial when it comes to his feelings for Jeremy. Jeremy has already admitted to himself that he is in love with Carter. On the other hand, Carter stubbornly refuses to even think about it, he is even considering a loveless marriage just to escape the truth.
