Just my way of trying to change the world, I suppose. - Oof. That hit me harder than I'd like to admit today. The world needs more Brendans. I'm glad Steve's gaining more confidence, and that Lanny is being more honest with him. Glad that Mrs. Harper sorted things out for herself, even if her husband was the driving force. I'm also glad her husband talked things out with Brendan, even if the conversation was a touch awkward at first. Though I highly hate the idea that Nick was locked away so many times by his mother, I'm glad he was spared what Jill and Steve went through.

Everyone needs a vacation after that ordeal. Karma. Karma everywhere.

Everything got blown out of proportion is right. While I understand Lanny's mom's panic in hearing that her son was hurt and then not finding him, her assumptions and her priorities were wild. Hovering around blaming other people doesn't make missing children magically appear. I'd have called home first to check, then started calling anyone I knew living around the area if they've seen my kid. Hell, I'd have started knocking on nearby houses after that. Priority number one would have been finding my missing kid, and I'm neither a mom nor do I have any kids myself. 😂

That girl's been through more than enough non-consensual trauma. Though I do like that she has someone she likes at the moment and Andrew doesn't seem to be a total jerk. He has a great dad. As for Brendan's new crush, I never thought I'd say I wanted a case worker to be booted off a case. 🤣 And that Skylar seems to feel the same way is the picked olive on top of my favorite sandwich.

I read this on my commute back, walking to my apartment, and then seated in my computer chair because I couldn't put it down. 😂

The worse that would have happened is I get off at the next stop, turn around and grab the train the other way to get to work on time ( I'm usually early just in case this happens ).

This one should also be categorized as thriller, suspense, and horror, because it made me feel all of that and more. Jason has a real talent for building up the tension and suspense in his writing. It's brilliant.

Good lord. Well, the consistent pounding on the door made sense if he was stuck in a cycle of visions induced by an aneurysm and literally couldn't stand up and open the door. For a moment I thought that he did see Steve dead, which made him lose it. The reversal with Steve now having to deal with Toby dead is no less saddening.

Went into this without reading the summary, but the story itself shows a lot more than the summary even implies. We follow Justin as his trapped mind rakes up his past and forces him to deal with his fears and guilt while his physical body struggles to survive. Will he be able to face this turmoil and reconcile his thoughts and emotions before his time runs out?

This one had me at the edge of my seat. We have some of the deeper answers... Justin pulled away from his family because Roy passed away... but none of the details of why Justin felt guilty in the first place. How did Roy die? Did he OD on something Justin purchased?

I'm glad Carlos didn't get into an altercation. Some tact can't be taught, however, manners can, and Louis might want to relearn them.

These darn allergens making my eyes water. 😭 This was beautiful. I really need to stop and actually read summaries or at least genres, but I never do. I just dive in and see where the writing takes me, and this one dug right to the heart.

We didn't start the fire/Fightin' fire with fire- Take me where my future's lyin' St. Elmo's fire! 😆 Home was wherever Elijah was. - Yes, I agree.

I went in without reading the summary or any of the warnings (this is just the way I am), and it was an incredible journey. What an amazing world we are thrust into as we witness Velaku struggle to earn his wings, and even more to earn his mate. An excellent, excellent read.
