  1. Newborns had white auras. It took a few months before Avery junior started to turn blue. - Oh no! "Using proper English, if there isn't none there, that means there must be some. Do you have any favorite hiding places to keep the drugs you've possessed before?" - LMAO! "Understood. After hearing about your hijinks on that drug trial, I shouldn't be surprised this case would turn into a circus as well." - Exactly!

    Growing Up

Two of us were criminology majors so any sort of ruckus that may lead to a crime was high on our radar. - I imagine so! Suffice to say, it made the creation, testing, and troubleshooting of software programs as easy as 1-2-3, or pie, or something. - Ah, AI. Tier 1 tech support will already be obsolete because of it in the next several years. As I was being introduced to the stars and slackers, sounds like a name for a bad rock band - Right? He was on the security staff and worked the graveyard shift. Somewhat prophetic, since he was the first in the company to end up in the graveyard. - Right?? And no matter how confident people are in their lying, auras didn’t lie. It almost seemed like the aura wanted to break away from the lie. - That's useful to know!

    The Learning

Bill was the only one of the five of us that was in my homeroom, but he shot me a look that showed his disbelief in Baskin Robbins 31 flavors. - Oh! I hope he's not thinking something too wild like seeing into the future. I was a pretty unpopular guy that lunch time. - Spoil sports. Blinded by the dollar signs I suppose. - I mean, he was just trying to use the hand he was dealt. “I knew she was going to die pretty soon, just the same way I know you have less than six months yourself.” - Oof, the worst thing he could have said. But at least he was honest. “Get him out of here. He just bought himself a ten-day vacation.” - 10 day suspension!? That's a bit harsh. I'd have called his parents and ensured he'd attend a therapy session...not that it'd help since he's seeing something no one would believe.. We obviously can’t allow you to profit from the unfortunate passing of Mrs. Miller, but ten days is excessive for that. - That's what I was saying. I told him six months. He made it a little more than seven. When I heard he died, I wasn’t so pleased with my reasonably accurate prediction. - Yeah, getting better at gaging deaths doesn't make it better. But he became my friend and confidant for my last three years of high school. I never did get that Xbox game. - Well, a friend beats a game any day, if you ask me. It didn’t click that Jeff’s was a reddish-brown for all the time I knew him. I guess you just never think about your friends dying, especially as a teenager. You seem to overlook those things. - Uh-oh, that doesn't sound good. Drug addicts that ended up overdosing were red auras. - Does that mean suicides are red, too? my planned major went from the overcrowded field of computer science to criminal justice/forensic science - Using the cards he was dealt again! Let's go!
  4. I have no words so far and I'm a slow writer, so you'll always be above me- wait, that sounded so wrong out of context. 🤣
  5. I knew if I looked at older ask the author blogs, I'd find more authors I've read! I've read some of the same books, and I'm glad @Lee Wilson found your way over here.
  6. What a great interview!
  7. I wish the altercations at the places I worked at would be "quickly resolved." 🤣
  8. Just another day in the city. Whatever muscle I pulled stopped throbbing, so all is well. Hope things lighten up for you at work, too.
  9. A story about how the fathers of two Joes develop a friendship that grows beyond their expectations. But how can they share their lives together while they both still have wives? Read on to find out.

    Chapter 5

Hey now, nothing wrong with the Joes being besties, hopefully for life. Glad they sorted things out.

    Chapter 4

Well now it makes sense why neither of the moms bothered with oral when it came to their husbands. Their passions lied elsewhere, both careerwise and compatibility-wise. The guys made it out of their situations scot free. 😂
  12. The Boy On The Porch hits you hard. Then, this more detailed picture from tough beginnings to beautiful endings hits you even harder. Both are well worth the read.

  13. That ending was nothing short of beautiful, my friend.
  14. “Do you want your name to be changed?”/Jill was caught off-guard, she didn't expect that, “Yes.” - Nope. Not going to make me cry. 🥲 He showed it to Jill, and together they handed it to Nick./"The Bravest Boy Ever. This is awesome. Thank you." - 😢 That turned out to be a massive understatement, right from the time I stuttered my first words to him. I'd gotten a lot of grief from the individuals who raised me for the first thirteen years of my life, about that and a lot more. - 😭
  15. I had a stressful workday the other day, too. I had to commute downtown for an in person meeting. Then, while I was taking the train back to work, we had a mandatory all staff meeting that was very odd and awkward to participate via phone with. On the second-to-last stop, a homeless man was caught in the back corner with his pants down literally. A couple of inspectors checked to see if he was OK, and thankfully he was fine. But, when we finally arrived at my stop, I pulled a muscle standing up to walk out. 🤣 I'm very sore right now, and I forgot where I was going with all this...I'm sorry you had to go through that.
  16. How to remove adhesive 101. Just the levity I needed on a stressful workday.

    Quack, Quack

Sure, barbecued penis. Served in all the posh restaurants. - 🤣 We'll have to update Wikipedia with a new solution. - 🤣 Indeed.
  18. Ehy did reading this make me hungry?
  19. I do agree that it should be "day-month-year" smallest unit to highest in terms of the date. Not sure why we're focusing on months first over here. 😂

    The Beginning

No, we just share the same dark funny bone, I think. 😂

    The Beginning

It still wasn’t completely apparent when the plate glass window that was being installed on the new skyscraper came flying down and split him in half vertically. - Well then, kid sees dead people before they're dead. Who am I kidding, aren’t all the cities in New Jersey small? - True. That trauma happened 55 years ago. - Uh-oh. Does that mean Avery's 67 now? Avoid all nursing homes and hospitals! He died, but the truck didn’t stop fast enough after hitting Jimmy to keep me from being in the hospital for the rest of that summer. - I take it back, avoid ever setting foot outside to begin with. I think whoever wrote the newspaper article about the man named Paine who died when a sheet of glass from a construction site fell on him had a hard time not inadvertently putting any bad puns in that article. Sometimes you just can’t make this stuff up. - 🤣! So wrong. That’s also another factoid that helped convince me I couldn’t change things. If we’d stayed at his house playing games, he still would have died. - Final Destination level death seeking right there. if you can bet your friends that their least favorite teacher in the world was going to die by Christmas, you’d try and make a few bucks. Wouldn’t you? - 🤣Right!
  22. "This codicil will become applicable should Kathy show any animosity toward our gay son, Brendan..." - HA! They knew them so well. Abel had one fetish that would turn him on no matter what his mood was. - And what an interesting fetish it was. Nine months later, Nicholas was born and she was ecstatic about her new plaything. - Just when you think you can't possibly be more angry with Kathy... He had previously opened up the wooden floor and dug a hole large enough for a child. He was afraid he'd hit Steven too hard once and kill him. - Just when you think you can't possibly be more angry with Abel... Abel panicked and picked up a pipe wrench. - Team effort indeed.

    Chapter 3

“It’s a fine kettle of fish you two have gotten into, but Mike and I have been there also, so we sure aren’t pointing fingers.” - Best line of the chapter! Fine kettle of fish is right. 🤣 I'm worried what will happen when the wives find out. Maybe they can become a polycule?
