This chapter committed me to the story. As always, the characters are excellent. Not that I agree with him, I do understand where Chris is coming from. Were Chris and Miranda at odds over things previous to Chris leaving? Thank you Wayne for this story.

Hank seems to read Jesse like an open book. Jesse is just confused not understanding Hank's motives or what he expects in return. Very anxious and excited for the next chapter.

Damn...for some reason this story is more emotional for me than your other stories were. Not sure why unless it is because Troy and Grant both seem like good guys. Troy's situation breaks my heart.

Great the way you have Charles and Rachel keeping Wren and Caleb honest with their feelings. The dialog between these characters is excellent.

I am really hooked on another one of your stories. I don't understand why most didn't like Wren from the beginning, his circumstances excused his behavior in my opinion. The setting reminds me of summers spent helping at my grandparent's farm in West Virginia.

Jesse reminds me of a rescued dog. If you speak to loudly, if you walk towards him to quickly, or if you start to raise a hand...he will step back and lay down to protect himself or more likely in Jesse's case run. Hank knows this and so far, has avoided those types of actions. Hopefully Jesse will realize Hank is someone he can trust. I still just want to grab Jesse and hold him, telling him things are going to be okay.

I am hooked on this story already. I think Lee can be saved if he decides he is worthy of living a better life. I am speculating that he had a terrible time of it growing up. Maybe he was in the foster system, or he was a totally neglected kid. I know we will get his background eventually from you. I am rooting for Lee to see his potential and turn his life around. Thank you for another great story and characters.
