I am so happy you chose to do this story. I loved Still Alive, Dumbass so much. This Prologue also brings more light to that story too. I am hooked, as I have been to all of your stories. Very excited to see where you take us to emotionally with this.

I was referring to the one that did not need labels. The man that probably viewed actions and compassion as most important, not labels. Only @Philippe can answer that.

With success comes notoriety. Johnny handled it pretty good the first day, but it will be interesting to see how he handles it going forward.

So happy to see Owen wake up although it took a tragedy to do it. Beth came to his side as we all thought she would. Eric tries so hard to include Owen in everything, but he really just needs to sit down and talk truthfully to Eric. Excited that Owen and Ryder are going to the baseball practice, even though at a distance away. Slow steps seem appropriate. The two-couple meeting is set.

The first day of school actually went better than I expected for Levi. Churchie is not terrible compared to names derogatory to his father. He'll find a supporting group of friends like Jimmy, Dan, and maybe Toby.

This chapter leaves me kind of numb. So much information but all it does is complicate things and not really indicate a path forward. Ryder and Owen declare love for each other and make love. We know more of Ryder's back story now. Ryder has a path forward to contact Colin now. What action is Owen going take is the prime question?

Seems Ryder got a real dose of Margot. Maybe she should consider a career in hostage negotiations. Ryder is in love and wants Owen to be happy not imprisoned at the funeral home. Owen does need to grow a pair.

Hopefully, Taggert will get to keep his place at the Nasser ranch. They could decide he is a security threat and feeding info back to Yoder ranch at some point. I'm sure they will try and get strategy information on how the Yoder's operate from Taggert very soon. Taggert and Ash seem to be moving along nicely.

Dad and Mom are not going to accept that Owen is gay. I see his parents abandoning him if comes out. Right now, I do not picture Ryder forcing Owen to come out until he is truly better prepared and ready. Margot needs to get ready for Owen to abandon HER plans. I think Jules will join with Ryder to put an end to Margot's plans.

You set the scenes for this chapter with such beauty and care @Albert1434. They were so well described nothing was really left to the imagination. The lighting, the flowers, the music, even the positioning of Johnny, Sam, and Violet were scripted perfectly by you, @Albert1434. Great chapter!

After the chat with his mom, I think Owen is probably correct in the fact that coming out will not go well. Mom seems the type that appearances are everything. I hope Owen convinces Ryder to contact Colin. Colin seems to be Ryder's soft spot.

Good introduction to Henry, seems a like a good guy in need of a change. The climbing will be challenging and allow him to meet some new guys. Great beginning chapter. -
Great chapter @Mark Ponyboy Peters Seems Levi is loosening up some in regard to PDAs. Raised as he was, I am surprised he is changing his attitude as quickly as he is. School awaits and I hope Levi can adjust as quickly as he has to everything else in his new life.

Beth really sees Owen as a person, not a pressuring family member. She also seemed to see Ryder as important to Owen. I love those kids for all their quirks and diverse personalities. Ellie obviously understood Owen and Ryder with the gift to Ryder. Great chapter.

I am probably way off base, but I am seeing Ryder coming to the party. He will be conservatively dressed and park the bike way down the street. Owen's friends and relatives will love him, and Margot will lose her shit over it. If Ryder instead attends VBS, I see Ellie falling in love with him.
