  1. Come on Celia, this is Dennis' family, we can almost count on there being drama or hyginx that will ensue. Lyle + Alcohol + Dennis + Travis = Trouble At least we know that there will be some bathroom drama Take Care
  2. My opinion is that people get into relationships too soon, before really knowing the other person, and probably more important, before knowing themselves well enough. I think we'd all have better success if we were more intune with our own wants & needs. And communicating those to any potential mates. Then again, we'd probably only gain that knowledge by trying out relationships to learn what our likes and dislikes are. So maybe it's not such a bad thing for relationships to end when either party realizes it's not 'right'.
  3. Welcome! Since you don't want to ready anything super long like Desert Dropping, you also have the option of reading some of Dom's short stories. There's The Spirit of James, and a couple feel good holiday themed stories Under the Mistletoe & Valentine's Day goes to the Dog. None of them are huge time committments and can provide you a break between studying. Oh yeah, and there's Sam I am in the sneek peaks forum. I agree with you about Owen & Travis. It's not necessarily that Owen was that interested in Travis, just that he was trying not to be interested in Aiden. I think it's great that now Owen knows that Travis is interested in Dennis, and it sounds like Owen's happy for the both of them
  4. Watch out adult world, here comes Nick! Happy 18th NJ!
  5. Wow, for some reason I missed this note  . Thanks for the update. And it saves me from having to keep checking http://dkstories.gayauthors.org/dreams2/index.php (which I checked about 30 times yesterday ).

    Happy News!

That's good news. If I could offer a suggestion... instead of buying 'new' things , look at garage sales & perhaps 2nd hand stores for the desk, nightstand, cough, coffee table & TV stand. Besides goodwill stores, we have a Habitat for Humanity resale store where they sell donated items. We have an Ikea distribution center nearby, so most of the Habitit store contains Ikea stuff at really really cheap prices. Since this is your first place and income is an issue, there's no sense in spending your extra income on quality type stuff. Bank as much of your income as you can just in case you loose that 3rd shift. Oh and if you're a germ a phobe like me, it would be okay to spend money on a new bed *shudders at the thought of a 2nd hand bed* Take Care, Vic
  7. Happy 23rd Birthday Tiff! Hope you have a great day! Take Care, Vic

    Leave the Pieces

I've added the blog explanation into the Domaholic's FAQ (so you know, when the next drunken blog entry pushes this one down )
  10. I've enjoyed this story so far. There are several plot lines that need to be kept track of.
  11. You should consider one of those lamps to give you some artificial sunlight

That's why I always comment right away when someone blogs like that, they're less likely to delete it once others have commented.
  13. Great Chapter! It looks like Frederick will be okay.

  15. Congrats Mark!
  16. I think you're my soulmate!!!
  17. The coupled people seem to like it. I don't be begrudge them their day. I wish they'd just be more closeted about it and enjoy their chocolate in private.
  18. If someone were to prophesize to me that 'In five years, you'll be with the love of your live, living happily ever after', I'd be enjoying my life the way it is now. I'm single, have my dog, have my house, and am secure in my job. My relatives live far enough away that I'm not bogged down by the family drama, yet we can get on the phone at any time to reconnect. I have friends to do stuff with when I need company, but no one to smother me when I want to do my things (rollerblading, biking, reading online fiction, or just hanging out with my dog). Deep down, I know I'm a relationship kinda guy, but I won't get into one just to be in a relationship. I'm just waiting for the right guy to get into one. Until then, the single life is fine. It's only around the holidays, with the upcoming Hallmark created abomination called 'Valentines Day' that I start feeling like crap. Lot's of thoughts go through my head, like: Am I going to be alone forever? I'm getting older as every day goes by... eHarmony & Chemistry ads on TV continually point out that everyone else has found their soulmates except for losers like me. Who's going to drive me to the emergency room if I have a heart attack? Who's going to let me know when I have a little food stuck on the side of my mouth and can't feel it? What am I going to do on Valentines day? Hide at home and go out with single friends pretending we aren't bitter? Or go out and make of point of being single & proud? Why are my Ex & I talking more on the phone together? Are we trying to latch onto something in the past, remembering the positive things and ignoring why we split up in the first place? I hate doing the bitter/angry thing, but it seems to come out around a holiday like this. Stupid Valentine's Day
  19. There were quite a few references to Luke's hair in HS Ch 3 & 4 (blond locks on his forehead, tugging at his curls, etc). Very distracting
  20. Excellennnnttttttt. Glad to see you back!

Ughh, this sounds like you ran into 'you're cheating on me with books' guy. He's probably just trying to stir shit up because it's close to V-day. He's probably trying to blame you for his insecurities . It's too bad that he didn't treat you right when you guys were together. He obviously doesn't know what a great guy you are. His loss. You deserve better. Take Care® & hope you don't have a nasty hangover tomorrow, Vic
  22. I think Chapter 1 & 2 were from Taylor's first person point of view. To me, chapters 3 & 4 were vintage Domluka in that the protagonist was thinking one thing, but totally saying & doing the opposite. I don't recall wanting to smack Taylor upside the head in TOU, but I'm feeling it in HS .
  23. I had assumed the body parts being discussed were the Burek-ah. After reading Chapter 25, I see that I was incorrect. Kinda scary that the Burek live off of the pain of the body parts floating around in the armour  .
  24. Wednesday's aren't usually considered date night, so I'll say it's not a date. However, if he asks you what you're doing Saturday night and subsequently asks you to do something then, then Wednesday is a date and it looks like you'll have one for Valentine's Day
  25. Oh wait, that's what you do to bring out Candyman
