  1. - 35-45years old, brown hair, light skin, thin, nerdy/geeky looking. - Someone who smiles a lot, but can also do the pouty thing. - Financially independent and is good with money (i.e. someone with a decent credit score who doesn't welch on their debts). - Should like cycling, rollerblading, and hiking - Someone who likes to go out ocassionally and enjoys quiet dinners at home. An early bird who likes big breakfasts. - Someone who's clean but doesn't OCD over it. - And generally a good person. That's mine P.S. - They must either like reading online gay fiction or would tolerate it.
  2. Happy 17th Birthday Robbee!!!! You should come to GA Chat more often
  3. you mean "faaaaaaaaaaabulous!"
  4. Yes, but explain why. If they choose to ignore you, at least you've given them information to make an educated decision. Yes, Yes, Hmmmm, maybe Yes, No, warning him of this danger has nothing to do with your last encouner Yes Take Care, Vic
  5. Happy 22nd Birthday Milamber!!!!! Hope you have a great one
  6. I picked the following top 3 items - The regular stories The 'community' feel and aspect of the forums The discussion/informational/intellectual aspect of the forums GA has a stable full of good stories and authors and the ability to freely discuss them with like minded fans makes GA attractive to be a part of. GA has also branched out into discussions outside of the normal stories and such, and it's great to be able to have an outlet to discuss many of these issues. While we are all either gay, bi, and/or gay friendly (etc) it's interesting to see how many different opinions or points of view we have about particular topics. Take Care
  7. This is cute. It's a video of a guy dancing in front of landmarks and such in 42 different countries. http://www.vimeo.com/1211060 Oh, and in the past there have been various video's posted on GA and many of us thought 'oh, he's one of ours' by the way the person was dancing. Me thinks this guy is not on our team based off of his moves Here's some background info about Dancing Matt http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dancing_Matt
  8. Ahh, the water polo picture...It's my favourite too. Your arm is all stretched out reaching for the ball triumphently over your opponent, your abs are all tight . My avatar was a BoyNeedsTherapy pirate special. Back in the day, Ben made a bunch of them for several GA members trying to tailor them to our physical features and they were all the rage. Sadly, I think Nate & I are the only ones still using them.
  9. I loved Erasure back in the 80s!!! I started suspecting I was gay when I knew the words to too many of their songs (Chains of Love, O L'amour, Love to Hate You,) I used to live in a town called Naperville, in Illinois....so I used NaperVic and it's stayed with me even though I've moved to California.
  10. Happy 24th Birthday Greg!!!!!! I hope you and your hot self have a great day!
  11. You're scaring the poor boy away. I was attempting to show that in matters of relationships, it's usually the GA member who is in the right and the BF who's side we haven't heard from is in the wrong. Take Care®, Vic (Who is not turning over every stone in search of a new BF)
  12. I'd suggest getting a third person to do a sniff test to verify. We had a friend who swore he didn't smell anything except his deodorant when he'd sniff under his arm, but we all smelled body odor . For some people, they are so used to their own scent (better yet immune to their own scent) that they don't realize that others smell B.O. Take Care® & smell fresh, Vic
  13. Welcome to GA Joel! Hopefully you'll find some good advise and definitely some good stories here. One thing I really like is that we have a wide range of ages and perspectives. I'm always pleasantly surprised about some of the good advice our teens and younger set provide. BTW, you're right and your BF is wrong . Take Care, Vic
  14. Hi Gary, This strikes me as odd. Are you saying that you rate stories and whether you'd continue to read them based off of how and whether an author replies to your feedback? I guess I see the stories and how an author interacts with their readers as two separate entities. Like Jan, if a story is good, I'll continue to read it. It doesn't matter to me if the author is an engaging one or not. Heck, the author could be a conceited SOB but if the story is good, it's good If an author is a nice guy and one of his/her stories isn't interesting to me, I won't continue to read it. Regards, Vic
  15. What The...? You know, when I see someone do something stupid I think 'Natural Selection will get them', but these bozo's are breeding!
  16. Happy 31st Birthday Viv!!! Hope you have a great day and a great year!
  17. I could have sworn Robbie said he was going to be single forever! huh! Congrats to you both
  18. It's Robbie?
  19. I have to agree with old bob. Not all authors appreciate/need the thanks for your story notes. The reader feedback issue is an age old story . I think this thread gives suggestions for a few types of authors, but some of the suggestions are simplistic and don't address the feedback needs of the varied spectrum of authors we have here (as well as all over the net). As readers, we must be cautious and try to understand the feedback needs of the particular author before we proceed to give feedback. For some authors, I don't want to bother them because I know that they're good about responding to every email and don't want them to waste their writing time on responding to me. For others, it's difficult to put into words what might be considered a criticism. I don't want to offend an author, piss them off, or discourage them. Some authors like public feedback (posts in threads/yahoo groups/discussion forums) and some like private emails. But anyhow, each author has a different type of feedback need. Just shooting from the hip, you have these types of authors: [tongue planted in cheek] - No Feedback
  20. I haven't read his recent offerings, but I bought this first book (Hardcover) just about when it came out. Initially I purchased it because he was a gay author and I wanted to support him, but like Jamie, I read it in one sitting.
  21. Happy 18th Birthday!!!!! Welcome to adulthood
  22. Not all of us turn into sex addicts!
  23. Ohhh, I voted for Ross Perot when he ran for President. Perot's two greatest impacts on the 1992 election were 1) Siphoning enough votes away from Bush I to allow Clinton to win, and 2) Making the budget deficit such an important issue.
  24. I either go rollerblading or biking. I find it helps to go as far as you can physically go, and then you have to turn around and make the return trip. Having to focus on breathing and muscle pain makes me forget what was bringing me down.
  25. I noticed it and enjoyed it very much!
