  5. *makes note to watch the 'regrets' thread in about 1 month when Menzo gets his credit card bill*
  6. I have two regrets... 1) I regret not having come out earlier to myself and the public. I really only accepted my gayness when I was 27 (don't ask me to explain all the gay porn I had since I was 16yo ... a phase that I would grow out of perhaps?). I missed out on 9 years of dating men. 2) When I was in the 7th Grade, there was this boy named Chris. He was soooo nice to me and we had the best time together for two years. However, he always wanted to come over to my house and hang out outside of school, but I kept him at a distance because I was embarassed as his family was better off than mine and I was ashamed for him to see my house. So our friendship consisted mostly of our time at school, and me deflecting his attempts to meet outside of school. During our 8th Grade trip to Great America (the amusment park outside of Chicago), we spent the entire day together, just the two of us and that is still one of the best times I've ever had in my life. He had more money for the trip than I had, but we basically pooled our money together and spent it equally. He moved away the summer after 8th grade and I never saw him again. I didn't understand it at the time, but I think we were attracted to each other. Every once in a while, I try to 'search' for him on the internet, but I haven't been able to find him. I also keep hoping he lists himself on Classmates.com, but alas, no luck yet. So my 2nd regret is not having kept in touch with him. It's silly to think this, but I always think of him as being my soul mate. So Chris if you're out there, PM me. Vic

  11. Just now (or as of this posting), there are 178 guests logged in and 18 members logged in. While the guest to member ratio is high, if they aren't registering, I doubt they'll be coming to a convention. Also, while we have 4200+ members, how many of them even post? If they can't be bothered to post, I doubt they'd go to a convention (Even with the complementary LRITE T-Shirts). But starting small is a good step. If you had 20 people show up, I think that would be a success. And if you can guarantee me that Menzo was going to be there, I'm game . Take Care®, Vic
  12. I think for Andy & Graeme's sake, it should be held in a big room with lots of cubicles, wireless access, and a laptop for everyone.
  13. Happy quarter century day Thirdeye!!!! Take Care®, Vic
  14. This was an interesting article about 'out' gay athletes. It came out in the LA Times this past weekend. -------------------- Young and out on the field -------------------- An emerging generation of gay athletes in high school and college is changing the rules. By David Wharton Times Staff Writer July 28 2007 Seattle: The guys in his boat took to calling him "Badger" because of the grimace he wore during races. Part of a junior rowing club that ranked among the fastest in the nation, Lucas Goodman was relentless on the water. The complete article can be viewed at: http://www.latimes.com/news/printedition/l...1,5154552.story Hope you enjoy it! Take Care®, Vic
  15. I LOVED the epilogue!!! I've read it about 4-5 times trying to figure out how old each of the kids were, and if what year Victoire must have been since Teddy must have just been out of school. The interaction between Albus Severus & James. I also think the last line puts out hope for a sequel
  16. This reminds me of a time before unlimited long distance and nights & weekend minutes. I met someone 'online' in 1995 and we started talking on the phone long distance. Eventually we were talking just about every night. Well, it was every night until I got a $350+ phone bill  . And the bastard was really 46yo pretending to be 19yo  Take Care®, Vic
  17. Happy 18th Birthday Nicoley!!!! Hope you have an awesome entrance into adulthood. Vic

  19. But 10% off is 10% off! You only have 30 years to wait for that! oh, here's another way to look at turning 25...You'll be a quarter of a century old
  20. I think your car insurance rates start going down when you turn 25. That's probably the only benefit.
  21. I'm so sorry about your mom. I remember when she was first going through chemo. My condolences to you and your daughters. Take Care, Vic
