    Chapter 4

I only saw a few episodes with Radagast the Brown, but I stand by my assertion that Colin Baker was the most annoying and frustrating of all the Doctors!

    Chapter 4

I was surprised by Mr. C's reaction to the news. I think he should of thought it out, and considered Jam's feelings first. Jam seems to be a kid who takes things in stride, and accepts what life tosses at him. But he is still a vulnerable teen who always keeps in mind that he can be uprooted at any moment. Mr. C being a teacher should understand this. Jam could have taken his new father's running away as rejection. Hopefully things will work out for them all, and they can move past the shocking news. This chapter was very moving. Nice job Wesley. Looking forward to the next.

    Chapter 4

I had my mother knit me a long scarf – it’s not as long as the one Tom wore, but it’s longer than standard. It’s off-white rather than multi-colored – she wouldn’t have understood in either case! It’s one of the few tangible things I have to remember her with. I used to watch Doctor Who (4/5/6/7) on KTEH/San José before they got taken over by the behemoth, KQED/San Francisco. KTEH used to show a lot of BritComs. Red Dwarf too. I liked having two PBS stations in the Bay Area – there used to be three until KCSM/San Mateo decided to pull out of PBS. Now we only have KQED and KQEH (the former KTEH, aka KQED Plus) – at least with the digital sub channels I get KQED World. (KCSM has a digital sub channel that shows France24 in English 24/7.)

    Chapter 4

I don’t know, I kind of liked Christopher Eccleston. He had a certain energy that was fun. Colin Baker just got on my nerves! I’m not really sure how I’d rank these two against each other. There definitely were several other Doctors I like better!

@Wesley8890 I haven’t seen any Pertwee episodes, so I’ll reserve judgement on his portrayal…

    Chapter 4

Ewwwww! Colin Baker? The most obnoxious and annoying Doctor of them all! Boooooooooo! Hiss! Hiss! I’m starting to have my doubts about Drew and his judgement! ;-) Okay, Tom Baker wasn’t my favorite Doctor, but I know lots of people loved him…

    Chapter 3

@Wesley8890 I like the Doctor Who quotes better than the Star Wars references even though I saw Star Wars long before I ever saw a Who episode (the Fifth Doctor – Peter Davison of All Creatures Great and Small). I think Drew’s reaction to the picture was very telling.

    Chapter 2

Well I’m glad (for JAM’s sake at least) that his last Foster placement ending wasn’t JAM’s fault. ;-)
  10. It was nice of Ian to invite Paine over for dinner! I’m sure Kit, Kat, and Sha would appreciate another woman (with a single syllable name) in the group. And Pat seems to like her. ;-)

    Chapter 3

Hm... *puts on thinking cap.* I believe the mystery of 'Who's my DADDY???' has been solved. Or maybe not. You are a sly one author. Dangling carrots and leaving us wanting more. Nicely done dear author. *bows and tips thinking cap*

    Chapter 2

This is very interesting. I won't even try to take a guess...well...okay yes I will. Could Drew be Jam's biological father like most readers are predicting? Could the argument between Mr. C, and Drew be about possibly wanting to reveal to Jam that he's the young man's father? If he is the father, maybe Mr. C thinks telling Jam would open a box they won't be able to close. Please Quote this Comment When Replying to the chapter please.

    Chapter 6

Joey just has no idea how to deal with emotions. His parents’ emotional abuse has manifested in several different ways, including this. Whenever people show him love or kindness, he always pushes them away eventually.
  14. If you like kickass women, you should see the movie, The Archer (2017)! It was a Showcase Presentation at Frameline41 and it was one of my favorite movies this year. I’m sure it’s still playing the festival circuit, but it was produced by the Lifetime Channel (as Jack McFarland calls it, ‘Television for Women and Gay Men’) and you might be able to catch it playing there. It’s worth seeing even though most if not all of the male characters are evil b@st@rds! ;-)

    Chapter 1

I agree with tim, journal entries are a very interesting way to tell a story, and I think it gives the story a very realistic vibe. Nicely done.

    Chapter 17

Excellent chapter BDANR. Jesse and Devan really came through for their friend. It seems that no matter how many times the three young men have a fallingout, when it comes to their friendship, they are always there for one another. I love how much Jesse has changed. I commend his efforts for trying to become a responsible adult. The only negative thing I've noticed is his heavy drinking. I hope he can come to terms with it, and continue to move forward. Once again you have lit the keyboard on fire, and tapped out another good one.

    Chapter 2

My parents were friends with a man named Kay. His wife’s name was Eleanor. Their personalized license plate was ‘K and L.’ He definitely wasn’t Gay Kay. ;-)
  20. That’s why the evil villains always have those exotic pets! Are you turning to the Dark Side, Kaptain Kelvinator? (Or do you just want to be the one designing her outfits?) ;-)

    Chapter 1

I know I've read this before, but it was so long ago. It's almost like reading it anew. And what a fabulous opener. I'm looking forward to reading the rest (again ).
  22. I dated a guy who used to get panic attacks (heights and bridges were triggers). When he would have an attack, he’d want to go to a hospital emergency room. They wouldn’t be able to do anything for him since he was already on medication, but just being there did calm him down somewhat. All I could do was just be there with him. He’s the only person that I know of who checked himself into a mental health facility. I went to see him while he was there, but he was in a session at the time. The staff must have seen how out of my league I was, so they patiently gave me a tour of the public area and his (shared) room. He and I had the biggest age gap of any of the men I ever dated and he had too little life experience and too much immaturity – the mental health issues didn’t help. We didn’t last very long.
  23. How many Coles can dance on the head of a pin? ;-)
  24. I thought the ‘we’ was significant. Who are the ‘we’? Are there other friends of Jake who are concerned about him that we haven’t met yet? I think his support network is larger than he seems to think. After all, there are 9 of us who liked or loved this chapter so far! ;-)
