It was nice that the very first autograph Matty signed was for a teenager who is bullied, but is inspired by Matty & Eddie. ;–) I think that even if Matty becomes a championship NFL quarterback, there will still be mention of the PromPosal. ;–) -
Now I feel like I used to feel after all the gifts had been opened. A little empty and sad. But fulfilled at the same time. Lots of happy memories. ;–) Maybe Kippy’s gift will be a miniature model of Auggie… ;–)

Well if Zombie’s hiding under your chair, he’s closer to the wasp and spider. Since the wasp isn’t flying around, they'll go after him first. That leaves you much safer because you’re standing on top of the chair! ;–)

I might have offered the free meal on christmas eve along with a sack lunch for those who needed another meal on the holiday itself. (Not everyone who takes advantage of a free meal will go hungry the next day.) That would give the employees a needed day off to rest. ;–)

It’s great that Mr Osborne is giving his employees raises (very unusual that tip-earning workers would get $15/hour). And even better that he’s giving Evan the first of the annual scholarships. But I would have expected competition to have forced most of those changes just to attract enough applicants to fill the necessary shifts.

Cynical me. When I read that the restaurants would be giving away free meals on christmas day, all I thought about was the poor employees who would be forced to work on the holiday! Few people think about the unfortunate employees who are ‘volunteered’ to work when everyone else gets the whole day off. Employers shouldn’t get credit for beginning to comply with their legal obligations. Bah Humbug! ;–)

I would have expected huge class action lawsuits about missed breaks and lunches! Being forced to work an eight hour shift with barely a restroom break is illegal. Those VPs who instituted those policies should be fired and imprisoned for their actions, but they’ll probably be let go with large golden parachutes (and be quickly hired by other corporations that like skating on the edge of legality like Wells Fargo and PG&E).

Last night there was a TV news report on my city’s police & firefighters’ toy and food giveaway. It made me feel warm inside to know that I’d donated to help them. We have a very high poverty rate in my town even though we’re surrounded by extreme wealth. Nicholaas was here. ;–)

Such a silly farce! Everybody knows, but everybody pretends they don’t know that April is Theo! (Or in April’s case, he pretends that Jett doesn’t know.) Jett only thinks he doesn’t. It’s pretty obvious to me that 13-year-old Jett wasn’t ready to deal with an attraction to another boy. It’s possible that Jett’s hetero-promiscuity is related to his need to convince himself that he’s straight. His inability to form a lasting hetero-relationship suggests that he’s not as straight as he’s been trying to convince himself he is. He might be bisexual, pansexual, omnisexual, or he might be Gay. ;–) -

I didn’t remember the title, Igneous, but I certainly remembered Hagan! He’s such an unusual character. Prickly, rude, and impenetrable, but appealing all at the same time. Very much how a real interaction would be like between two different species! ;–) -

Yes, but that doesn’t bring in more cash to the Bay Area economy! We're driving California’s economy. I think they’re now claiming California is the sixth or seventh largest economy in the world! (California is one sixth of the US population.) ;–)

I think it’s pretty obvious that ‘fouled’ was a later attempt to clean up the definition for polite company which would be shocked by the dirty language, unlike today when nearly anything is said regardless of how many grandmothers, preachers, or ‘innocent’ children are present! ;–)

I remember we had a package of tinsel that we used every year for many christmases. My mother would carefully remove the tinsel from the tree along with the lights and ornaments when we took the tree down. It would be packed away with the other decorations. We were very poor and my parents were extremely frugal. ;–)
