Which of your two long stories are you referring to? We still need to get a little boy on his way to recovery from surgery. But then there’s the guys who have been waiting forever for Prom! ;–)

That reminded me of a song… 🎶 (More, more, more) how do you like it, how do you like it (More, more, more) how do you like it, how do you like it (More, more, more) how do you like it, how do you like it 🎶 I had no idea that Andrea True (1943-2011) had been a porn actor before she recorded the song. ;–)

Kind of like the raw hide given to dogs to chew on – minus the pieces that my younger brother’s dog always seemed to create. Too bad they never helped with her breath. Annoying poodle mix with a wide beagle-like snout and a tail that was docked a little too short. She wore a puppy cut her entire life.

I haven’t seen the movie, but I’ve seen the musical twice, once at Frameline and once again on PBS about a week ago. ;–)

I tried to download your links, Thorn, but was geo-blocked. But the whole album is available when you do a search (US link). ;–)

After the quick and happy results for Orson, I hope we’ll get a miraculous result for Gary and his medical visit.

Just how many ceramic feathers will it take to create a raven? And how gigantic will the sculpture be – about two or three times life-size? Does Elias intend for the Raven sculpture to be displayed in Camp Refuge? I hope it’s going to be at least somewhat abstract or designed to be mounted flat on a wall so Elias isn’t making feathers constantly for the next six months! (I’m imagining a slightly abstract view from above of a raven in flight.) ;–) The kid thinks big! ;–)

I guess the change in Status is only you being realistic, but it makes me sad anyway. I hope the Temporary Hold is short and Russell & Evan are able to do their Twin Dance in celebration. It’s distressing that their evil sperm donor is winning at the moment… :–(

More music to put a smile on your day A Ditter's concerto in recital format. The bass-playing really comes through this way

Many famous people think that everyone wants to sleep with them. They don’t understand why someone might not be attracted to their fame. Add inherited wealth and they believe they're entitled to have sex with anyone they want.

Poor closeted Dan. He needs to build some self-confidence along with those muscles. He needs to learn how to be himself and not worry so much about what his teammates and friends think about everything. Maybe he should look for a guy who has a little more in common with him than just a shared high school. Are there any cute, male cheerleaders? Maybe one of his fellow football players? Or maybe he should be checking out the notoriously hetero-flexible frat boys… ;–)

Teething causes inflammation. That could cause a fever. This is when Jay should be playing with those squeaky toys! ;–)

I don’t need to have a happy, ‘Hollywood Ending.’ I just need to have a resolution. I do not want to try to decipher what the screenwriter and director could not figure out for themselves. If they couldn’t figure out how the movie should end, why did I waste 2 hours of my life watching their incomplete work? ;–)

An Orange and Some Walnuts
Former Member commented on Valkyrie's story chapter in An Orange and Some Walnuts
At first, I couldn’t figure out why the ‘homeless guy’ wasn’t in a shelter and was wandering around wet in the cold. At least he wasn’t like one of those TV news reporters (or politicians) who try to pretend to be homeless, taking up one of the rare shelter beds (which means someone who doesn’t have their own bed in a fancy house or condo is forced to wander the streets) just so they can file a report on the inadequate conditions. I suppose viewers are more likely to identify with the person they see every night than one of the few who isn’t too embarrassed by their situation to be interviewed and exposed as homeless to their coworkers and friends who might not know. But an overnight stay does not expose you to other effects of being homeless: the scorn and distain from passersby, the endless lines, being chased out of parks and businesses because of your appearance, the theft by fellow homeless people, the irrational rules imposed by service organizations that are primarily geared towards people with needs that differ greatly from your own. I do not understand Robb’s behavior any more than I understand religious self-flagilators. -
I’m sure if he’s singing in YouTube videos, you’re already following him! ;–)

Why do I enjoy them in writing, but hate them in French-style movies where they neglected to show the last reel? ;–)

Chapter 130 Happy Holidays

What does Sears sell that most other large department stores do not? Craftsman Tools, of course. I’m guessing Robbie’s gift to Conner will be tools. ;–) Sears sold the Craftsman brand to Stanley Black & Decker in 2017 in one of many desperate attempts to evade complete shutdown. Sears might have done better if it had shrunken their locations down and rebranded their stores into Lands' End Clothing [they were owned by Sears between 2002 and 2014), Orchard Supply Hardware (a San José-based home improvement chain acquired by Sears in 1996, was a public company in 2012, filed for Chapter 11 reorganization in 2013, and purchased by Lowe’s which shut the chain down in 2018), and Kenmore appliances. Both Sears and Kmart (both owned by Sears Holding) made numerous strategic mistakes, investing in multiple ventures (bookstores, drug stores, office supply stores, sporting goods stores, Discover Card, and Prodigy online) while attempting to diversify their companies, but were generally incompetent at running their new acquisitions. Sears Holding itself was an ill-conceived merger of two dinosaurs fighting off extinction. There have been many other retailers who deserved to survive, but were closed. Why Sears and Kmart still exist makes absolutely no sense to me. -

Chapter 130 Happy Holidays

The same could be said about all of the characters in this story! If you were really, really mean, the final chapter could have Robbie recovering from being pushed down the stairs, realizing that he only dreamt about Conner, Stephanie, and even Jo! He could even wake up from a nightmare, sleeping next to Tom, with his mother still in the hospital! ;–) -
Chapter 1 - Riding the Beast

A tablet or laptop could make waiting around in hospitals a little more bearable, if you have one. Saving all the chapters as pdfs would allow you to read them in Amazon’s free Kindle app. This lets you avoid cellphone data charges while making sure you can read the whole thing. ;–) -
My conclusion is that none of us (who has Commented) has a pair of kinky boots hiding in the back of our closets. Hopefully we haven’t frightened away anyone who does. Most of us learn about topics like this through discussions (or documentaries). ;–)

I was just thinking that Lea Delaria would probably disagree with you. There was also that famous Vanity Fair cover with Cindy Crawford appearing to be shaving kd lang. Greta Garbo in a tuxedo was considered scandalous. I think straight and straight-appearing women can get away with clothing designed for men (or resembling men’s clothes) only because of a very long struggle that overlapped the struggle for women’s rights. Men have had an easier time. But at one time men did not go swimming topless (unless they were skinny-dipping at the swimming hole or the YMCA indoor pool). Men always wore undershirts (and never without another shirt over it) – until Brando was shown onscreen without an undershirt under his shirt. I don’t understand why the US obsesses over women’s breasts. I mean, I’d prefer that they remain covered, but there are many men who I wish would stop exposing their naked bodies too. Since it’s so easy to find them online, there really isn’t a lot of reason to make it illegal for women to go topless on the beach in the US. ;–)

There are other things she’s said and implied that make me uncertain of her qualifications. I don’t have a lot of options in my healthcare plan. It’s run by the county.
