Save the date - with a twist... Thursday, July 2, 2009 No - this is not a duplicate message with a typo. And yes, everything is good between Dan and I. Last Thursday, when the California Supreme Court announced their decision, we were of course elated. And immediately, because it is something we've been waiting for a long time, we started planning our wedding. July 2 is an important day for us - it is what we consider our anniversary as it is the day we started living together in 2005. So, when we decided on a wedding day, originally it was to be July 2, 2008 - and we sent out those "save the date" emails. But seven weeks (acutally - 6 weeks now) is not a great amount of time to plan a wedding - especially with all of the other Democratic Party and election work that both of us have to do as well. So, while we would love to be one of the first same-gender couples in the state to FINALLY legally wed; and while we do have some legitimate concerns regarding the constitutional amendment likely to be on the November ballot that could potentially wipe out our recent gains; Dan and I have decided to do this right and reschedule our wedding for Thursday, July 2, 2009. We'll both be working against the November ballot measure, and hope all of you will do what you can as well. And as soon as we win in November (in MORE ways than one), we'll start the preparation for our wedding. We hope that you can join us next year - and that this rescheduling doesn't inconvenience anyone. But we also hope you understand why we're doing it. Thank you all, Robert (and Dan)

While we settled on the Chevy Equinox, I was considering the Colorado for a bit... And it's not like I'm a big Chevy fan - this is my first one. But in looking around, I really like their current cars/trucks...

We're under two months out so giving an update as well as renewed call to see if anyone else has thought about attending. The initial post on this thread has been updated as far as attendees - putting Benji and AFriendlyFace in the likely to attend, and adding Rose Straito, Tim the Traveller and brax to the "maybe" list. Details are still the generally the same: Dallas area (closest airport: Dallas Fort Worth DFW) June 6-8, 2008 The thread for the UK Get-together is Here As we have more time to organize this one, as well as lessons learned from the last one, I'm looking at more of a full weekend (Fri-night through Sun morn). Tentative rough schedule would be: Friday night casual mingling (coffee-shop) Saturday morning breakfast Saturday either: ++ Six Flags Arlington or ++ free time for groups to form and go off exploring on their own Saturday night dinner Sunday morning brunch If you think you WILL attend (or even put yourself down as a "maybe"), please either reply to this post or send me a PM.

A lot of DS games have the ability to play head-to-head with only one cartridge. Best place to look up info on video games is www.ign.com Pokemon is exclusively a DS game (it's made by Nintendo, makers of the DS). I have a DS lite and love mine. And for Pokemon, you actually want to get them on Pokemon Diamond and one Pokemon Pearl so they can trade back and forth.

Ummm... one solution to your "mechanical" problem would be to change who is inserting into whom...

Though, finding someone to just do, whatever, with occasionally, can sometimes help take the edge off... and let you relax and be patient enough to find "Mr. Perfect"...

Trust your instincts... they're usually right, especially if you tell a guy he's moving too fast, and then he reacts by moving even faster... And from what I've heard - doesn't matter if you're straight or gay - can still happen with girls too. One problem gay men in their early 20's though (on a serious note) is that many have never developed any dating skills in high school - so all the awkwardness of first dates, etc hasn't really been experienced. They think their first experience with a guy is "the real thing", often without any idea of what that guy is really like. Good luck in finding someone right for you - it WILL happen (especially since you are pretty good in your own right and deserve it)... but sorry to say, it may take a bit before you do find him.

Sounds like you already have a good start on the paper by focusing on the need for a funded library system and/or better support for the school ;-) As to the timing thing - it happens... A lot of what can help is just knowing what to let go of and relaxing and accepting...
